Everson Pereira

So we got him off waivers from the White Sox, and I think they were hoping he would slip through and come back to them.

His batting hasn't been consistent, mainly due to being on the IL several times, but it's clear he can hit and with power. I read that his HR last night was 430'.

And most obvious is the fact that he has a lot of hustle in the OF and a hell of a glove. He's certainly not afraid to go after the ball no matter what.

I guess I'm cynical by nature because I'm searching for the downside, but so far I'm not seeing it. After being on a few different teams, I think he's looking for a home and seems pretty happy here.

I hope management does right by him.

Cardinals.TV

Just wondering how many folks have it. Living in Georgia, it's the only way I can get Cardinals games on TV.

Your significant other...

Do they wonder why you have so many hats?

Mine really doesn't understand the concept of hat rotation, or she thinks it's silly....not sure which. 🤣

I was 13, and the Cardinals finished 72-90, dead last in the NL East. Six years later they won the World Series.

Keep the faith, folks.

Jack Buck/Mike Shannon

Is it just nostalgia on my part or were Buck and Shannon just the best to ever get behind a Cardinals microphone?

Danville Dodgers, 1948

Gonna be a stretch...but does anyone know where I might find a repro of such a hat?

My dad played in the minors for the Dodgers in the '40s before his elbow blew out. No Tommy John surgery then, so that was it for him.

I found a hat from 1932, but nothing from the 40s.

The old Busch Stadium

Might be silly to be sentimental over a building, but I saw my first Cardinals game here with my Dad in 1975, and I cried when they demolished it.

I will say the new stadium is beautiful. 🙂

Poisonous or no?

Located in NW Georgia. Yesterday it was ball-shaped and has since flattened out.
