Local Tabletop Gamer LFG

Hello!

My name is Damien and Ive been living here in St. Albert for most of my life. I am 31 and a big fan of TTRPG's. I've had a few different groups of friends that I've played with locally over the years. First started with D&D 5e almost 10 years ago. Unfortunately, as time goes on, friends drift apart or become busy with work and/or family. Doubly unfortunately, I myself am not very busy at this point in time.

I thought I'd reach out just in case there are other tabletop gamers looking for another person to add to their group. I would be happy to join as a player or GM. The vast majority of my TTRPG experience has been as a GM. I would love to be a player again, but I love these games from both perspectives.

I am 31 years old and male. Currently waiting to start school at NAIT again in September. I am open to gaming online or in-person, though I do not currently have a space to host in. I get along well with most people, but I am definitely a nerdy fellow. I have experience playing D&D 5e, Shadow of the Demon Lord, Mothership, and WH40K: Wrath & Glory. I could probably be convinced to get into a new game too.

Message me if you're interested in gaming sometime!

Enemy concept: Plaguebearers

Plaguebearers would work well as a new elite enemy, and they would also narratively show the worsening of the situation in Tertium. They would be highly durable and likely have the infested type (or maybe unyielding?). Their plague blades would deal heavy corruption damage.

The mechanic that would make them unique and interesting is the cloud of flies: each plaguebearer has a thick swarm of flies around it out to a short radius. In melee range, the swarm will bite and annoy the player, possibly inflicting a slowing effect and/or corruption damage. At longer ranges, the swarm impairs vision, making it difficult to target them and other enemies in their vicinity.

To make up for the threat they pose, plaguebearers would be very slow and the buzzing of flies would be an easy giveaway to their presence.

What do y'all think of this idea?

It's supposed to give you buffs depending on how many non-nurgle armies and settlements you have plagued. Unfortunately settlements are not counted towards the tally right now. This means his faction mechanic is sometimes completely useless (if your plagues only spread to settlements)
