[Online][D&D 5.5e 2024][To Be Scheduled, Monday, Wednseday, Friday, or Saturday 9am CST] Squirrels and Simulations - Disney's Kiff meets Dungeons and Dragons
Disney's Kiff is my new favorite show, with strong vibes like Cartoon Cartoons, and rich characters and attention to themes. I've described it as "Exactly the choices I would make, if I wrote this". And so, Squirrels and Simulations!
The campaign will be roughly like the Special "Lore of the Ring Light" where characters from the setting of Kiff (predominatly Table Town) are inexplicably characters of a fantasy. Alternatively, it may lean into more of the Kim Possible episode Virtu-Ron; Either way the base concept is "Characters from the world of Kiff (canon and original), thrust into D&D."
The campaign itself will begin with adjusting to this new fantasy world, establishing the world and tone before moving onto questing. Expect cartoon antics and some self-awareness.
Characters will be either anthropomorphic animals, or fantasy/mythical creatures like the show. No familiarity with the show is required to play, and new players to D&D are also welcome! If you find it interesting, you have what you need.
As I'm a new DM, expect a rather casual play style. Mistakes, minor retcons, "Do it, fix it, move on".
Voice Chat and organization through Discord; Gameplay on Roll20.
Comment or DM if you would like to join; Preferably with:
- A name to call you and Pronouns
- Times that work for you
- If you have watched or a fan of Kiff? If so share something you like so I can have that aspect in mind.
- If you haven't watched Kiff, or aren't a fan but still want to join; What interests you about joining Kiff meets D&D? So I know why it appeals to you anyway, and perhaps what to include.
- Do you desire to play a canon character, or an OC? Would you prefer all players do the same, or would you be happy with a party of canon characters and OCs?
- Are there any common cartoon tropes or similar that you do, or do not, want incorporated? Like do you want toon physics? If you do, have you any opinion on that incorporation? Eg. Toon "skills", versus "You can do toony things, but it's mostly lore/not changing the strict gameplay"?
