Working on the very beginning of Stage 1 for my 2D action platformer 👾

One thing I really wanted was a fully dynamic tutorial system with no text boxes interrupting the gameplay.

The game teaches mechanics through level design and visual prompts instead of stopping the player every few seconds.

I'm also making the controller prompts fully dynamic:
• Xbox buttons ✔️
• PlayStation buttons ✔️
• Real-time remapping support ✔️

So if the player changes their controls in the settings, the tutorial prompts update instantly in-game.

Still polishing everything, but I'm really happy with how immersive it's starting to feel ✨

Made with Godot.

Hey everyone!

I’ve been working on the first boss fight for my game and wanted to get some feedback.

Right now I’m focusing on:

- Clear telegraph before attacks

- Fast dash into a slam

- Strong visual + audio feedback (afterimages, impact effects, voice lines)

The idea is to make the attack feel threatening, but still readable and fair.

Just to clarify, this is not the real arena for battle, just a test scenery.

What you think about it?

- Is the telegraph clear enough?

- Is the timing too fast or too forgiving?

- Does the impact feel satisfying?

Everything is still work in progress, so I’d really appreciate any thoughts or suggestions!

Thanks :)
