Lancer Beginner Seeking Advice on Building a Horus Mech

Hi! So I've recently joined a local Lancer group and the GM has said that they are closing up their current campaign and will starting a Horus-centric campaign where we all start with access to a Horus frame at LL0

I have the book itself to read through but I'm rather overwhelmed by all the options, so I'm hoping perhaps yall can help give suggestions on build!

In terms of which frames I'm most interested in, I'm liking the look of Balor and Manticore as I typically lean into melee in TTRPGs.

The GM has said we will be going up to LL4 and we're not locked to just Horus stuff, only the starting frame.

From some quick reading, Balor and some Vlad bits sound cool for a grappling pinchshion build or Manticore with some Tokugawa just to be contstantly radioactive

Can the Hunter follow me during free roam in the Remake

Out of curiosity, during sections of the game where the Hunter is active, can it follow me to other sections of the ship if I choose to backtrack somewhere on the tram?

I haven't played the game in the while and it's never really come to mind as something to do since I just choose to remove the Hunter asap

Should the Ruby Weapon fight bring back Big Fat Tacos for it's theme?

Recently started playing FF14 and have been made aware of this community meme, so now I'm wondering if it'll show up in the boss fight haha

What optional missions do you always avoid every playthrough?

Was thinking about how, even in base game, you can hit max level and street cred looong before finishing all the content.

So I'm wondering what are yall's no-go missions from start to end every playthrough?

For me, it's River's storyline and Sinnerman just for how extremely slow they for characters I don't particularly care about
