This is my third S2 Satin (Standard -> 594 & Vela). I've owned 99 guitars over the years, and these just have the right feel for me (at the moment anyway).
I was looking for one with a little less glam when I sought this one out. I might build a custom pickguard in the future (thinking blued-steel or walnut colored wood), but this will do for now.
This is my third S2 Satin. I love them. I run 11's and they just feel so smooth and alive. But, I hate that they're all dressed up like high school prom queens. I feel embarrassed taking them out of the house with their little birdies and gold accoutrements.
So, I went looking for the ugliest PRS S2 I could find and have been experimenting with ways to give it a little class.
It came with the red-tortoise. I tried the mint, but it's a little too... business. Going with black on black for now.
My SG came with this look and I changed it. But putting this pretty girl in a black dress just might work out.
