Laptop temperature difference between two accounts with the same settings

When I play on my account, laptop temperatures hit around 75°C-80°C—85°C at worst on hot days. However, when another person uses theirs, my laptop easily reaches 95C even with the air conditioner on and a fan facing my laptop.

I have matched the resolution (1600 × 900), FPS, and all of the settings in the Graphics Quality tab. What could I be missing?

  • Cleared on 2nd run. I first wiped to Steven double battle vs. Team Magma in the Space Center.
  • Played blind but looked at documentation for some trainers I've beaten in first run.
  • I used rare candies, so no EVs.
  • I didn't use set up moves (Dragon Dance, Calm Mind).
  • Set mode, no items, etc. etc.

I played Vanilla Emerald multiple times prior so I was able to prepare for most fights. After Phoebe, I was down to three Pokemon and pretty much gave up—I just wanted to see how far I could go. But the remaining three really performed well.

Minun killed key Pokemon and brought occasional support with Encore, Chimecho was an excellent pivot with Levitate, and Milotic just had so many kills plus had lots of staying power with Recover. Run came down to Milotic vs. Steven's final Pokemon Metagross w/ +2 speed 1v1 where a crit EQ would white me out.

First ever nuzlocke clear :D
