Injury Caused by Firefighting Aftermath
Posting simply out of curiosity. I am not the party affected by the incident detailed below.
A tailor's building caught fire due to a dryer being left to run overnight. Firefighters contained the fire, preventing much damage to the surrounding buildings. However, the shoe store next door was affected with minor flooding from the hoses, including water damage to their product and a mess on the floor. When the shoe store manager arrived in the morning, he was completely unaware of the condition his store was in. He slipped on the water, seriously injuring his knee and preventing him from working.
Can he pursue legal action over this injury, and who would be most liable?
