ABMM is killing the game. Atleast for me.
I enjoy both PvE and PvP. That being said the thing I enjoy about extraction shooters the most is the unpredictability of your match. I like going in and not knowing what I will get. Can I befriend people? Will there be rats? Will I get backstabbed? If I see someone should I call out or hide? All of these decisions make every match interesting and varied for me. But ABMM ruined it...
Now if you're on the PvP side you can safely answer every one of those questions with "shoot first, ask questions later". The tension is gone, you're just playing Apex Legends with loot.
If you're on the PvE side you don't even register other people anymore. You have your quest, you bee-line straight to it. No one looks at you and you don't look at anyone. Again, 0 tension.
I get why it's there. But it takes away one of the core mechanics and experiences that makes this type of game fun. It was never about pure PvP or pure PvE. It was about the mix. But now it's basically split into two and the tension went away with it.
