What's your favourite RZ feature? Mine is regenerative braking.

For me, it's not the screens or the technology.

It's the regenerative braking.

I was skeptical at first, but now I use it for almost all my deceleration.

It makes driving feel effortless, and I like knowing the car is recovering energy while reducing wear on the brake system.

I'd be interested to know:
Do most RZ owners drive this way?
Has anyone noticed significantly less brake wear compared to their previous vehicles?

What other "underappreciated" RZ features do you enjoy?

Let's balance out some of the negative posts with things we actually like about the vehicle.

Need help identifying/fixing a broken plantation shutter tilt connector

Two of my plantation shutters broke at the tilt connector.

The small plastic eyelet on the edge of the louver blade snapped off, so it no longer attaches to the vertical control bar.

What is this specific part called, and where can I buy a replacement?

If the whole part can't be swapped, what is the best way to fix the broken eyelet on the blade?

any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks!

Shopping cart check for DIY ceramic coating (Gyeon Mohs EVO) — What am I missing?

whats up all!!

I just got a full front XPEL Ultimate Fusion PPF installed on my car, and I’m planning to ceramic coat the rest of the bare paint panels myself.

From my research, it seems like Gyeon products are a bit more forgiving and user-friendly for DIYers compared to CarPro, so I’m leaning heavily toward their lineup.

Here’s what I currently have in my cart to purchase:

GYEON Iron Redefined (Super Low Odour)
GYEON Mohs EVO
GYEON Prep
CARPRO Reset Shampoo

What I already have on hand:
Clay bars & lube
Compound and polish (plus DA polisher)
Plenty of quality microfiber towels

A few questions for the community:

  1. What am I missing from this list? (e.g., dedicated inspection light/headlamp, maintenance toppers like Gyeon Cure/Ceramic Detailer?)

  2. Coating prep & application tips: Are there any specific gotchas when applying Mohs EVO over freshly polished bare paint?

  3. Product synergy: Is there any issue running CarPro Reset for the initial prep wash before using the Gyeon decon line, or should I stick strictly to one brand?

Appreciate any feedback or tweaks to the product setup before I place the order!

did i sand to much paint hazing?

i had a deep scratch.

i filled it in with touch up paint mix with clear coat mixed.

i sanded down the high spots with 1500grit
when it was smooth i went to 2000 grit.
when the scratch disappeared i went to 2500 to feather edges but that halo is still there.

i tried compounding and scratch x from meguaires.

did i sand to much down.

please help?

Has anyone rust proofed their RZ?

I live in Canada so there is a lot of salt.

i’m dealing with rust in on my wife’s 2017 Infiniti right now.

i am really considering rust proofing.

just look for owners who can share their experience rust proofing their RZ?
Has anyone used Krown rust proofing?

i am considering using them and tell them not to drill holes in my car.

New owner of 2026 RZ 350E

I’m a new owner of a Lexus RZ 350e and I’m very happy with my purchase. The more I drive it, the more I’m falling in love with the car. This is my first EV and also the first vehicle I’ve owned with Apple CarPlay. I really like being able to have Waze on the screen without needing my phone in a holder.

The first things on my to-do list are getting the front windows tinted and adding paint protection film to the hood.

The dealer had me set up the Lexus app when I picked up the vehicle. I know a lot of people like the connected features, but I guess I’m a little old school—they just aren’t something I personally need. After the first day I deactivated the app because I don’t really use those features. I had also read a few posts about possible 12V battery drain related to the connected services/DCM, so I figured I’d keep things simple.

I also skipped all the dealer add-ons. They just seemed overpriced to me, and I’d rather shop around for things like tint and paint protection.

Looking forward to putting more miles on the RZ!
