As per my last post, I was trying to get front pads for my 2024 honda SCL500, the OEM pads are currently on back order with no arrival date. So here’s what I found, the original part number is useless, the part number on the pads them selves is useless. however someone did mention EBC brakes and I was able to track down this set, they look a touch different but they fit perfect and are currently on my bike and working good.

I have only 1 issue and that it seems to be turning the brake rotor black, im assuming it’s a characteristic of the friction material because it seems to have no affect on braking ability.

Hey all, was wondering if anyone could share some information about front brake pads for the SCL500, mine are in need of replacement after 23000kms and when I contacted my local Honda dealer they told me there were none in stock and that to order they're on back order. I retrieved the parts diagram and found the # 06455K3SJA1 and used the to search for an aftermarket set but nothing is coming up with a guaranteed fit. I found a few different pads on amazon that appear to be the correct shape but without them stating in the description that they would fit my bike. I really need to get these changed out before I start my coast to coast moto camping trip this June.

If anyone has had this issue before or knows of an aftermarket brand that would be greatly appreciated. I will be ordering some pads and seeing if they'll fit so hopefully I can update on here after with my success or failure.
