I can't get my prescription filled and no one at the store seems to want to help me. What should I do?

I want to preface this by saying I am a transgender woman and the medication I'm trying to order are my hormones.

I've been getting my hormones from this location for years without issue.

When I first placed an order online for a refill, it went from "out of stock", to "reviewing insurance", to "reviewing prescription" and stayed that way for a week.

I called the pharmacy on a Friday and asked them if my insurance was refusing to cover it and the person who answered said "let me see..." and took maybe 20 seconds to look in the computer, and then told me it was out of stock, they would order more, and to check back Monday next week.

I could see in my account, either a new order was created or the status was simply changed back to "out of stock".

Through the weekend, the same thing happened again. The status went back to "reviewing insurance" over an issue, then, by Monday, back to "reviewing prescription" and that the pharmacist would contact me or my provider if they needed more information.

I waited until Thursday and then just decided to go to the store and speak to someone.

When it was my turn, I went to the counter, gave them my info, showed them the online status, explained how the order status was stuck, he (the pharmacy tech) went to the back and spoke to someone in a white coat who was poking around in a computer, before coming back and telling me to stand to the side and wait for a moment while he served other customers.

After about 10 minutes, he called me back over and told me it was out of stock, they would put in an order for it, and to check back Monday (today).

This time I got an email saying the order was canceled and when I checked my account, I could see a new order had been made, which said "out of stock".

I checked this order through this past weekend and the same thing happened; it jumped from "out of stock" to "reviewing insurance".

However, when I tried to check the status today on the website, the order is now completely gone from my account.

Any idea what I can do?

I've tried ordering it three times now and spoken to them twice only to be met with the same answer.

Now they've just deleted the order without explanation.

JOB HUNTING TIP: USPS

I have a hot job hunting tip for you.

USPS hires for a lot of remote CS and IT positions, but you wouldn't know this because their website's design is so terrible, it's not immediately clear how to make those jobs appear in your search results.

How to make them appear you ask?

It's very simple.

When you do a job search on their website and want to see remote jobs, DON'T select which state you're looking for a job in and instead leave it blank.

Then under "Functional Area", choose "Information Technology/Security" and press "start".

That's it!

You would assume that remote positions would appear in search results if you choose a state, but they don't.

Also, when they post job openings, they usually only stay open for about a week before they take them down, so you have to check the website every couple of days or you'll miss out.

If you're interested, right now they have a position up for "COMPUTER SYS ANLYST/PRGMR" which is only open for applications from 05/22/2026 - 05/29/2026.

As far as I can tell, these jobs don't show up on other job boards.

Combined with the fact they don't have high visibility due to how the website is designed and the fact they only stay up for a week, there's probably less competition for them.

Is jogging on the sidewalk considered "bad etiquette" in NYC?

TL;DR: Is jogging on the sidewalk considered bad etiquette?

I was Downtown Brooklyn in the Jay Street / Metrotech area for a doctor's appointment recently.

While walking to my appointment from the subway, I was at the corner waiting for the light to change so I could cross and I saw something next to me in my periphery bobbing up and down next to me.

I looked over it was a woman with a wagging ponytail who was jogging in place waiting for the light to change as well.

When the light finally changed, she started jogging up the sidewalk ahead of me.

The sidewalk wasn't packed but it was busy and as I walked in the direction she jogged and passed by people she passed, I could hear them complaining about her.

One person muttered "There's no need for that. Take it in the street.".

An old lady let out a shocked yelp like the jogger had surprised her, even putting her hand on her chest like she was having an attack but to be honest it looked exaggerated like it was a performance for the group of people she was with.

And I even heard one woman complain to her friends saying "She's running with her ass out. That's disgusting." referring to the shorts she (jogger) was wearing, which were defintely short, but it wasn't like you could see her "cheeks" or anything. 🤣

Anyway, this got me thinking about jogging in NYC in general, which is something I know nothing about since I don't jog, and if the jogger was in the right and the complainers were just looking for something to complain about.

Today I was talking to my coworker about the bids that just came out.

One of the automation bids starts at 4PM and ends at 12:30AM.

This is rare because all the other tour 3 automation bids usually start 12/2/3 PM.

Then I remembered a couple years back, they started converting a ton of people suddenly and they created all these new bids with later start times that were out of the norm for all the time I've been here and figured it was some kind of hold over from that period.

Anyway, my coworker told me he used to have a 4PM bid during that period and he told me that he would get two Sunday premiums

Anyway, my coworker told me they used to hold a 4PM bid and that he got two Sunday premiums.

I was confused, so when I asked him to explain it to me, he told me when he clocked in at 4PM Saturday and clocked out 12:30AM on Sunday, he got Sunday premium for those 8 hours he worked and when he clocked in at 4PM Sunday and clocked out at 12:30AM Monday morning, he got Sunday premium for those 8 hours.

He essentially told me he got Sunday premium for 16 hours each week.

It didn't sound right to me so I asked him if he actually went on liteblue and saw that and he told me he did.

So, is this actually true?

My plant has been having a severe bucket shortage over the last month and a half.

It let up some last week but this week we're back to bucket drought.

Anyone else experiencing this?
