8 years ago today, Faker said: “Currently, I’m a midlaner ranked at about 4th... Honestly, I’m not confident enough, I’m not sure that I’ll do well again."
Even after already becoming one of the greatest players ever, Faker said he wasn’t confident and didn’t know if he could perform at the top level again. A lot of people probably thought his best years were over.
Now looking back at this quote feels crazy.
I think that’s one of the coolest things about Faker. Even someone at his level can have doubts, but he kept going anyway.
