Average student with an opportunity to go Abroad. Should I take it or stay in India?

Hey everyone,

I’m a 22-year-old from Delhi and honestly, I’m just an average student. Neither a topper nor a failure, just somewhere in the middle.

I have an opportunity to go abroad for studies, but I’m confused:

India: Competition is insane (CAT, Govt exams, etc.). Can an average guy really make it big here?

Abroad: Is it worth the financial risk for someone who isn't "academically brilliant"? Will I just end up struggling?

I’m a hard worker, but not a "bookworm." In 2026, which path is safer and better for a career-starter like me?

Looking for some brutal honesty. Thanks!

what is happening in the exam

The trend of paper leaks in India has become so common these days. Earlier, there was a leak in the GATE exam, but no one pay much attention iitg take so much casually. Now, after that, what happened with the NEET paper is beyond understanding. A student who studies for 10 hours daily, 365 days a year, suddenly finds out that someone else—who put in much less effort and wasn't even capable or deserving—got selected, while they didn't. It is hard to process this.
