[MOD] You can now play Civ 7 endlessly in multiplayer, no more game ending before you're ready

One of the biggest frustrations in Civ 7 multiplayer: the game just ends.

Not because someone wins. Not because you want it to. Just because the age timer ran out, or someone hit enough milestones, or the bar quietly filled up while you weren't paying attention and suddenly you're staring at a score screen when you had so much left to do.

In base Civ 7, there's no built-in way to turn this off in multiplayer. You can't just say "I want to keep playing the Modern Age forever." The game always has an expiry date baked in.

This mod changes that.

Victory Settings

https://github.com/vivek3071997/civ7-mod-victory-settings

A free, open-source mod for Civ 7 v1.4.0 that gives you full control over how and when your game ends or whether it ends at all.

Everything is controlled through simple on/off toggles in the Advanced Setup screen when creating a game. No config files, no commands.

What you can do

Choose which victories are even possible:

Want a purely military game? Turn off Science, Economic, and Culture victories. No one can win by culture-bombing you while you're busy conquering. Want a no-victory sandbox? Turn them all off.

  • Military Victory — on/off
  • Science Victory — on/off
  • Economic Victory — on/off
  • Culture Victory — on/off

Control what advances the age:

The age bar fills from multiple sources — turn timers, player milestones, players getting eliminated. You can disable any of these independently:

  • Turn Counter — stop turns from ticking the age bar forward
  • Player Elimination — stop eliminations from rushing the age forward

And the big one — just disable the age ending entirely:

Turn on "Disable Age Ending" and the Modern Age simply never ends. No score victory. No game-over screen. No turn limit. You play until you decide you're done.

This works on every game speed and age length setting — Online, Standard, Epic, Marathon, Abbreviated, Long — all covered.

Why this exists

Out of the box, Civ 7 multiplayer sessions have a hard expiry. Even if you disable all the standard victories, the game still ends when the age progression bar fills — and that bar fills fast, especially on faster speeds. On Online + Abbreviated with a full lobby, your Modern Age game can be over in around 60 turns whether you like it or not.

There's a "One More Turn" button, but in multiplayer it's effectively broken.

This mod removes the expiry date. You and your friends decide when the game is over.

Installing

  1. Download from GitHub
  2. Drop the folder into:%LOCALAPPDATA%\Firaxis Games\Sid Meier's Civilization VII (Epic)\Mods\
  3. Open Civ 7 → Content Manager → enable Victory Settings
  4. Start a new game → Advanced Setup → toggles are under Victory Options and Age Progression That's it. All toggles default to the base game behavior — nothing changes unless you flip them.

A few things to know

  • Works in multiplayer and singleplayer
  • Requires a new game — can't be applied to existing saves
  • The AI still plays toward victory internally, it just can't finish — no gameplay weirdness
  • Free and open source — full source on GitHub if you want to dig in or build on it
