Does anyone actually work at Aidvantage?

My wife had her loans discharged through borrower defense- she was an after class member of the Sweet Cardona case (Art Institute). It says $0 on .gov, but there has been no movement on Aidvantage. I’m told it may take years for discharge and refund…. Is this company like one guy? Completely insane.

What’s the deal with SAVE? Email says I have until 2027 to recertify…

I’m on SAVE and last communication said I don’t have to recertify my income in August 2027. Do I have to do something now due to SAVE going away or can I wait?

Mother-in-law hearing sounds

While I am prepared for at least 10-to-1 comments to have fun with the title, I’m hoping someone has a solution…. My mother-in-law claims she’s hearing a rhythmic, pulsing sound similar to a truck on a distant road level of volume at night. They have a recirculator pump and hot water baseboard heating. Any chance the pump could cause weird noises? I’m already her favorite son-in-law, but always hoping to score more points.

My parents are celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary and they took my family on a cruise. I’d like to start with the fact that I’ve worked in hospitality my entire life. Started as a busboy, then food runner, server , manager, even owned a restaurant that went under during the 2008 financial crisis. Ive never met such a friendly group of people that absolutely suck at providing basic service. Im on the Wonder of the seas and there has been so many misses it’s ridiculous. I tell the server we’re celebrating my 9 year olds birthday (also mention anniversary , but they’re not as excited as 9 year old). We listen to multiple birthday celebrations in the dining room and they forget hers. slow service that makes us feel forgotten has been the norm. I brought $200 in $2 bills(my buddy said they are considered good luck) to give out in addition to the prepaid gratuities and I feel like nobody deserves a penny. I gave our housekeep $20 day one and then had our kids beds made with just a bottom sheet (great to find out when you’re putting them to bed), both our rooms had things broken in the bathroom (water temperature control in my parents, I had to rig show head with a piece of paper to hold the sprayer up.) My safe also needed a reset. There have been a couple bartenders that have given good service, but everyone else is just really friendly and awful at their job. Anyone else experience this? I feel like I’m on a fucking hidden camera show. Tonight we sat at the solarium bistro and nobody ever greeted us. Over ten minutes and the place was 20% capacity at best. I wanted to order a glass of wine for me, my wife, and my mom. my wife goes to a server at the neighboring table and he says he’s busy and it’s a buffet. wtf?! I go find someone with a nametag to get service and then they proceed to ring us up incorrectly twice (my wife and I have Bev package, my mom does not). No apology, no follow up. We would have ordered more drinks, but they are just shitty at their job. Is this cruising? Or just Royal Caribbean? I really expected so much more for a newer whatever class ship this thing is. My gray NY strip (ordered med rare) is almost a highlight at this point. The only great food has been our meal at Hooked Seafood and even there the server was MIA- I ended up going to the wait station to get Tabasco for my oysters after I had asked for it when i ordered and it never showed up. I go to the raw bar and ask for it and they tell me my server will bring it. after 5 minutes of not seeing my server I had to take measures into my own hand… are they stretched too thin and overworked? Or are they just not trained? Or are they all fucking morons? He told my dad he had 3 tables? Are they cooking the damn food? Crazy!
