What bad tropes do you eat up everytime? Like for most of the populace the certain writing or tropes or genres get so much hate.

My personally is the "he meets a guy and all his issues are solved" It is so unrealistic but I love it everytime. Ml has constant night terrors but if the MC sleeps next to him it stops 🥹

Or the "he hates everyone BUT that one person" Absolutely cold/stoic MC/ml meets that one person and he becomes a teddy bear.

Also tw please no hating on anyone's tropes. I want this fun and connecting discussion please ☺

So I want to try and watch a majority of BL that has been produced (big fat chance but I hope). But there is sooo many out there. Ive only really watched 2022-now series.

So what I want to know is what is your must watches. The made you bawl, you haven't ever stopped thinking about, youd wish you can watch again and what you'd recommend to everyone. So for those who haven't read it, it's a short 9 chapter novel on the MC traveling into a romance game and he has to seduce his classmate. Spoiler the game is actually a horror game and the classmate is the secret main boss. All the other players around mc tried solving the puzzles but only mc won.

I really loved this dynamic but it was unfortunately super short and wanted to read something like this. Some things I liked are:

-Innocent acting ml

-Wrong genre placement/mc misunderstood situation (ie thought ml was protagonist instead of villain, thought it was a high school romance instead of action ect.)

-Everyone around them knew except mc

I just watched a compilation from Yt "Toph couldn't catch a break from blind remarks" and it was the most hilarious thing. Toph just saying things like "There it is!... Thats what it will sound like when one of you spots it" with a smile. Just harmless blind jokes of her tricking her friends.

I was wondering if there was a mm disability romance with this dynamic. An MC or ml who can make jokes or prank people cause it's their way of life. Nothing in mean spirit. Ive read a few disabilities mm but they always err in the side of mourning and somber. It can have those heavy moments but I'd love to see that "lighthearted" or "sassy" character.

Idk if the title makes sense but I was curious. I'm usually open to any book (as long as cheating isn't there) and if the book is good enough I'd find others in that niche setting. I wanted to see what books made people go down the rabbit hole 😂😂 and thought it would be fun to see all different kinds of answers. {Colin by Grae Bryan} Loved the Threesome in this. It was cute and well written imo. Went down the rabbit hole but lean more in the spokes and wheels

{Mad love By April Jade} Introduced me to the daddy kink but {Beautiful Dreamer by Jayda Marx} made me interested in AB/dd. This kind of set up is very cautious for me in that it's more wholesome fluffy instead of icky.

{Good boy by Jayda Marx} Made me really interested in types of puppy play, since media betrayed it as a kink and weird beastality but in her book it felt like a comfort for the character which was adorable

{Broken Ice} Now I was into bl and omegaverse for a long time but this was the first mm that I found enjoyable and lead me to bro and the beast.

{Seraph by Lily Maine} I was so not into non-humiod creatures. I was iffy about reading it but liked how it sounded and it did not disappoint. Yes seraph is more humiod than some can be but it was sorta an icebreaker for me.

So both {Vigilant by Cora Rose} and {Silencer by Cora Rose} has these exact vibes I need and I haven't really found another book quite like it. MDZS by MXTX also has these vibes (especially Wei Ying haha)

What I'm looking for is a sassy/bratty MC who knows how to push every single one of ML's buttons by either sexually, rebuttal or anything like that. ML on the other hand has no idea how to handle it but doesn't want it to stop. Id like to have a scene where either the MC leaves from being rejected, stolen away by 2nd ml or just kidnapped and ML regrets his actions (but I don't necessarily need this).

Oh my gosh this book has me hook like and sinker. It's sooo adorable!! Ive had it sitting in my tbr for a year but someone's comment made me read and I do not regret.

I'm only 10% in (30pg) and the bitter sweetness 😭 I couldn't hold it in and needed to talk about it but I know almost no one who reads mm.

The way Joey is so sweet and earnest and happy to meet Brad and Brad is an absolute sweetheart. Like this boy is absolute sugar sweet and his intentions are honestly understandable and not annoying. And I thought mc from {Broken Ice} was bad! And then poor Brad clues in and my heart 😢

Thank you for hearing my rant I just wanted to gush how sugary sweet it was! I was in a total dark romance mood and this book popped up when I didn't know I needed it.

I feel like I already read or uninterested in the ones I've found but I've been craving romance with the ml (preferably) seeing mc and thinking "mine". Doesnt necessarily mean love per say but the I can't leave alone or want anyone touching even though I don't know why. Or could totally have " mine" grab and love haha.
