Would you use a surgeon with terrible bedside manners?

I have had a knee condition for a long time and I finally booked surgery for next month as it's getting worse. The surgeon himself called me yesterday and said I've been calling with too many questions, I seem unsure, and that my next call can be to cancel surgery and that's it.

Under normal circumstances, I would just cancel the surgery with him as he obviously has poor bedside manners and the conversation could have been handled much better. However, if I cancel the surgery, due to life circumstances I'll have to wait another 6 months at least to do the surgery with another surgeon. We also have the work flexibility to do it this summer and we won't have that next winter.

Has anyone had knee surgery before moving? I'll be 6 weeks NWB. We wont move before the 6-week mark but it could be at the 8 week mark. I'm aware that I'll basically be useless in terms of the physical moving but has anyone else done this? Any advice? It'll be a long-distance move, not a local move.
