Hi everyone,
I’m applying for an education loan through SBI for my master’s abroad (Monash University MIS), and I’m a bit confused about the process.
My final semester results for bachelor’s are not declared yet, so I currently only have marksheets up to the previous semester. When I visited SBI, the staff told me that without the final sem marksheet/result they cannot sanction the loan.
However, my counselor says that several students have still managed to get SBI education loans even before their final results came out, especially through the PM Vidya Lakshmi portal/CELAF process.
So I wanted to ask:
1)Has anyone here gotten an SBI education loan with “result awaited” status?
2)Were you able to get at least an in-principle/provisional sanction?
3)What documents did SBI accept in place of the final result?
4)Did the Vidya Lakshmi portal allow you to proceed without uploading final semester marks?
5)Did you apply through a specific SBI branch or SBI Global Ed-Vantage?
I already have:
Conditional offer letter
Previous semester marksheets
Passport
Fee structure, etc.
Would really appreciate hearing real experiences because different SBI branches seem to be saying different things.
Thanks!
