Light bump. How fix?

Les Paul lightly tapped a granite countertop. I cannot feel it at all so it’s not a divot at all. Maybe just changed how light reflects over it. How is this fixed by a luthier? I don’t want to do it myself.

Edit: lol you guys are awesome (and right)

60s Standard in Honey Amber

Bought my first 60s Standard last week in Bourbon Burst. I was in a hurry and was trading in a guitar so I took whatever they had in inventory. When I got home, I noticed it was a 2023 serial number. Later after getting a setup on it, I noticed there was chipped damage where the headstock hangs from the wall hangers. So that guitar was probably “hanging around” being played by grubby peasants for 3 years.

I took it back and got a factory sealed unit shipped overnight in a color I like even more. It plays great and I don’t think it even needs an immediate setup from the pro luthier I use. Action is set correctly. I’m just going to play it.

So I’m out the cost of the setup on the old guitar for being in a hurry but I think it’s well worth it getting a 2 month old guitar where the last person to touch it before me was the QC at the factory.

Factory Setups

How good is the factory setup on a brand new Les Paul 60s Standard? I’m wondering if it could benefit from taking it to an experienced (not-GC) luthier for a proper setup? I’m a beginner so I don’t have a frame of reference for how a guitar should feel.

Ibanez SR505A vs Yamaha TRBX505. Can’t decide!

I’ve gone way too far down the YouTube/Reddit rabbit hole and I think I’ve finally narrowed it down to these two.

This will be my first bass, but I already play guitar. I know the 4 vs. 5 string debate is never-ending, but I’ve decided I want a 5-string. I mostly want to play rock, hard rock, metal, and reggae, and if I ever end up in a casual cover band I’d rather be the bassist than the guitarist.

The SR505A was the one that originally hooked me. I love the Brown Mahogany finish. Then I started reading about the finish wearing pretty easily.

Now I’m looking at the TRBX505. It’s about $100 cheaper, has active/passive, and I actually like the Brick Burst finish a lot too. Maybe not quite as much as the Ibanez, but it’s close.

I can play an SR505 locally, and there’s also a TRBX605FM nearby that I assume is close enough to get a feel for the Yamaha neck.

If you’ve spent real time with either of these, which one would you buy and why?

Picked up a McCarty 594 as my first guitar

Picked it up from a local independent PRS dealer. Also got a Katana Gen 3 50. Looking forward to learning how to play it.

That being said, what’s the best app to learn how to play? Mostly metal/blues?
