Spoilers for Lanterns: Something caught my eye in the new trailer

The body Hal drags out from the morgue has a wound on its forehead, exactly where "Hal's" wound is at the end of episode 1. And the skull John picks up also has what looks to be a healed wound in a similar area. Lends me to suspect Hal's still alive, and these are all aliens being murdered.

Dizziness on Azelastine

I had a pretty adverse reaction to Azelastine last night. I've been taking it for several months with lots of success, but something happened with my dose yesterday that completely put me out this morning.

Just to provide some background, my doctor prescribed Azelastine maybe 3 or 4 months ago and said I should take 2 sprays 2 times a day. I started off this way, but soon realized it was way too much. The 2 sprays in the morning would make me really dizzy and tired. I cut it down to 2 sprays each nostril at night, and that seemed to be a good balance.

Last week, I noticed my sinuses were really dry and causing coughing fits at night, so I tried just doing 1 spray in each nostril. After a few days, my congestion came back, so last night I went back to 2 sprays in each nostril. Even after 8-9 hours of sleep, I woke up this morning feeling awful. The room was spinning, and I had trouble staying upright. It wasn't until around 10AM that I started feel kind of normal. It's 1PM now and the effects are still lingering.

I'm nervous about taking the Azelastine now, even though it's been the only thing that has helped with my post-nasal drip. Has anyone has success taking a break from Azelastine, then picking it up again? Maybe too much of it started building up in my system? Curious to hear others experiences with this.

On a side note I also take Zyrtec once a day, and Flonase twice a day.

Despite everything happening in Palestine, a Palestinian donated school supplies to the Oglala Lakota school supply drive.

This was on my FB (yeah, yeah, I know, I hate it but I have to keep my account for reasons) feed, and it was so poignant to me. Someone in Palestine saw there was a need all the way across the world, and they somehow managed to find the money to donate these supplies. Palestinians are the best of us...

From last night @ Whiteriver, my one crappy photo from the lawn

My kid and I had a blast. Most of the fans were obviously there for Evanescence but Nova Twins did a great job hyping everyone up, then Spiritbox came on and you could feel the vibe shift as their set went on. People were loving it and I think a lot of Evanescence fans were converted. They played a lot of songs from EB, TS, and FoF. I couldn't believe when they played Cellar Door, it went so hard live. I hope they come up to Seattle one day.

For those with sensitive tummy kitties (possibly chicken allergy), what is their favorite wet food?

I have 2 kitties, one is 7 years old and one is 2 years old. The 2 year old has a little bit of a sensitive tummy. Nothing super serious, just the occasional loose stool in the litter box. His vet thinks changing to a chicken-free diet might help with this. He and his brother are both on the Science Diet Healthy Cuisine Roasted Chicken wet food and they love it. I've tried other wet foods with them, but they are so picky. Is there a chicken-free wet food that your kitties like? His vet recommended the Purina Pro Sensitive Stomach Tuna wet food but given the risk of mercury-poisoning, I'd like to avoid that. Maybe beef or salmon?

YouTube suggested this video and I immediately thought of this sub - "How One Plant Murdered a Continent" (it's about prickly pear cactus in Australia)

Australia has been through the blender when it comes to invasive species absolutely decimating their native ecosystem, but I never knew about prickly pears. The old footage in this video looks terrifying...

Italian plum not fruiting

This Italian plum is probably 8-10 years old. It was a bareroot that I planted about 7 years ago. It's been moved a couple of times so it took a couple of years to fully establish itself. These past two years it's been flowering abundantly, but no fruit. I've included photos of the spent flowers and the graft point. This is tagged as an Italian plum that's self-fertilizing, but I've read on rare occasion, these varieties won't self-pollinate. I don't believe my neighbors have any plums so cross pollination is difficult, so I'm debating whether to get a second plum, or attempt grafting. Grafting would be better due to limited space, but I could possibly find a spot for another plum.

Or maybe I'm going about this all wrong and something else is the matter?

Edit: Treated twice every winter with copper fungicide, last year I amended the soil with 10-10-10, this year I added some ag lime. Trying to avoid overfertilizing since no fruit.

Wash, wash, wash

We've been having some very dry weather and finally got some rain yesterday. The crows are happy.

I have this beautiful patch of Veronica growing in a shady area of my yard that I would like to introduce to other shady areas of my yard! I'm reading that they grow from rhizomes -- can I dig some of it up and just transplant to where I'd like it to grow?
