I am sorry for this basic question. I just joined this sub. I did read the FAQ but it didn’t answer me these 2 question. LBP1+2 were by far my most favorite video games of my childhood and there are many many strong other really great games I loved. I am shocked seeing 21000 weekly visitors on this sub. So many people still caring (which is great) about this game. I don’t understand why they had to kill this game. online service, playing levels from the community was the heart and soul of this game, for me at least, I still vividly remember having so much fun with different amazing levels (anyone remembers the Hide And Seek levels from dogchiwawa before he got hacked? Years later someone eventually recreated at least the popular “mall” map. Or the tsunami map? That user had some other great levels like an “asteroid survival” map. or the whale survival map where you are on a big ship? These are just 3 examples of my most favorite levels). I wanted to dive back into Nostalgia and try booting up my old PS3 but oh well. This is genuinely horrible to see.

please let me know if there is any community project or way to play user levels?

and also please somebody let me know the reason why they killed off the game? And since how long are the servers shut down?

A couple of years ago I watched this video and I tried finding it again with no luck. Basically I have seen a Reddit post on a r/letsnotmeet type subreddit, maybe even it but I am unsure. In it was a story written of the encounter, at first it sounded a bit fantastical, like as if it was meant to be a fictional letsnotmeet type ish story. However, the poster recorded the entire encounter to fully back up the story. I will now tell you the story in as best detail as I can remember, consider it‘s been at least a couple or so years if not even longer so some details may be off. 

The video starts and appears to be filmed by assumingely the phone camera of one of the two tourists. He records the video but I suppose doesn‘t want the hermit to see so a lot of the time the camera is just pointed to the ground or to the sky or with subideal angles, it is also dusk with night setting in so a lot of the footage is very dark and things are not properly in focus, the quality is also poor, however it captures audio that‘s audible enough. The 2 tourist are native English speakers I believe of the US, they are in an Amazonian jungle, I am of the belief it was in Brazil but I am unsure it could be a couple of South American countries. My memory is a bit blurred and I can‘t pinpoint how the video exactly starts but it‘s either them standing on the side of some road that’s located in the jungle, talking to the hermit or them already on the path towards his hut. The hermit looks completely like the typical Robinson Crusoe castaway stereotype with deeply brown leathery skin, a very unkempt appearance with long white hair and a long beard. I think he is in his 50s or 60s but I suppose the environment has aged him drastically and it‘s obvious he has been there a long time. Also, he is definitely not a native English speaker but he is also not native from the country that their in, in fact I am quire sure he is of foreign descent, I am very unsure of which country but possibly a German accent? (I really don’t know though, that lead didn’t lead me to anything at all so I might be very off here) but he speaks English well enough to understand him. He invites the tourists to his house. His house is a wooden worn down hut deep into the jungle. It is very baren with almost nothing but he has a couple dozens of rats he claims are his pets. What‘s a bit unsettling is he has dozens of notes stuck to all of his walls (maybe ceiling too) on which he has scribbled something on all of them. The tourist asks him about this he says something along the lines of „yea I do write a lot…“ but doesn’t explain any further on what’s written on them or why he did it. Unfortunately the video doesn’t capture what’s written on the notes so we can’t make out what language he used. The footage gets a dark turn soon, while the hermit appears friendly and maybe happy about the human companionship, as the tourist begin to leave, and mind you this, after they realized the notes they made excuses why they have to go early, they did seem unsettled and, the hermit then asks them to take them back to the road where they came from, however he insists on taking a smaller much less well stepped on path (the original was already very jungle ish, not even a real trail or anything). The tourists are immediately sketched out and insists on taking the same way back. The hermit then starts arguing telling them that it is a shortcut, when they still refuse he tells them that the way they came from has “more mud” saying the “shortcut” is better. It is clear though (and we can see this) that the “shortcut” path is going into a completely different direction and definitely appears to lead deeper into the jungle. When the tourists still refuse, they walk the way back (maybe on their own). The hermit when arguing is not crashing out or getting angry, he keeps his friendly demeanor up but it is very clear that his intent is most likely nefarious since he kept on insisting on taking that path leading deeper into the jungle. The tourists wrote that they were getting extremely unsettled once he wanted them to take this other path. The whole vibe was very eerie since it was very dark too with night settling in as they step out the hut beginning to leave and the guy changing his tone, like yeah he stayed friendly in tone but it was very obvious that there was some bad intent. 

Some time later I also seen this video in some kind of YouTuber‘s ”YT darkest video“ type video, smaller to but similar to Nick Crowley, Chilling Scares, InternetInvestigator, etc. 

anyone remember this and help me find it again? I already tried looking up searches that might fit the criteria, when this didn’t work I also asked ChatGPT telling the story since that did actually work in finding very obscure articles and videos again but this time without any luck. I almost thought for a moment I was maybe imagining it but I am 100% sure this video does exist, at least did so at some point in time, since I have read the story, seen the video linked and then I have seen it again in a YouTuber’s video.

I never met ANYONE in my life who has this. To put it short ever since I can remember (even as a 5yo) I have a deep disgust and a fear of snails and slugs. slugs are worse but both animals get me, it’s primarily the texture of their body and their slime. Looking at them on photos and videos causes the phobia but looking at them in real life is much worse, the thought of touching them is absolutely haunting to me. the same way a lot of people are terrified of spiders is snails and slugs to me.

for other mollusks (the inside of clams, squids and octopodi) it’s not nearly as bad, looking at photos, videos or even observing them in real life doesn’t cause anything but the thought of TOUCHING them does react a smaller version of the phobia of slugs and snails. It’s not that terrible though, I am fascinated by octopus and squids at the same time and praise them for their intelligence often.

phobias are quite interesting, no one in my family has it, my mum is terrified of snakes but I think snakes are super adorable and cute, spiders also do not bother me one bit and I don‘t have any other phobia

one last thing worth mentioning here is that despite this phobia I recognize it’s my mind playing tricks and I do not dislike these animals for their existence. I do not want to hurt them, I am the kind of person who refuses to even kill flies or small bugs and I often bring them outside or rescue them if they are stuck in water if I can. I can’t touch snails or slugs but my morals and believes valuing all animal’s lives includes them as well, despite the strong phobia.

so for question, just googled both terms, which one do you think is more fitting?

Hi, recently I deep dived into ScareTheater Lost Media, after watching a great 1+ hour video on this subject matter I realized the guy has an insane amount of Lost Videos. I stumbled upon it while looking for a lost video, in the process I researched and found that even other big YouTubers like Nexpo and ReignBot have Lost Videos. This reminded me of one video blameitonjorge from many many years ago that I, in the past, had wanted to watch again but couldn’t find anymore.

to get to the video in question here... I personally enjoyed the “real life mysteries” from blameitonjorge the most. This video was one of such. The subject matter was of a tech giant (about 60yo but I don’t remember his name) who vanished at Sea on a small boat under strange circumstances. The video was approximately around 15-20ish minutes long and a section I vaguely remember is that the guy had sent his wife a message talking about seeing dolphins and being at peace before vanishing on his trip. I might not be entirely correct about this but I am pretty pretty certain the video is from blameitonjorge.

However, I want to add one thing here. My first deep dive was looking for the “Ricardo Lopez” video by ScareTheater. I ended up finding that lost video due to a reddit comment linking to it on dailymotion. When I rewatched this I was completely baffled that it was NOT the one I remembered. I was sure it was of ScareTheater but his video was only 5 minutes long instead of the 15-20min I remembered, a bigger point is that the video I remembered had a specific section that compared Björk’s song “Hunter” to Ricardo’s dance (that do look oddly similar). ScareTheater’s video didn’t talk about this at all. So after researching more I found out that both Nexpo and ReignBot had a video about the same subject matter - both videos being completely lost to time and nowhere to be found. I think now that it was most likely ReignBot but again, video completely lost. there is a small chance I am mistaken the uploader of the video in question here too but I am more certain that it was indeed blameitonjorge because 1) I have tried to find that video a few years ago and 2) I have old private playlists of videos for falling asleep to, one is blameitonjorge real life mysteries and there are deleted/privated videos in that playlist now so I think the video (I unfortunately do not remember the video name) is of blameitonjorge.

anyone remember this too? anyone has it? or at least remember the name of it?

Hi I definitely remember this video and research online confirmed it did exist. I can’t find it anymore since it is offline now. I would like to rewatch it so if anyone has it or knows where I could find it? Thanks

Be honest what do you prefer?

a) he gets the death penalty and sits on death row (probably) forever (California doesn’t really go through with it), he suffers in extreme isolation, 23h lockdowns, separated from regular prison, psychological torture , etc. However, because of the strict regulations on death row he probably won’t be physically hurt by other inmates. (Look at this one super famous death row documentary, there are people as worse or even worse than him and they are physically unharmed bc of the strict lockdowns and separation!)

b) he gets life without parole, assuming he won’t be in PC for the rest of eterniTy, with how famous his case has become, inmates will definitely know who he is, he will get placed down with other inmates who got nothing to lose, they will be jumping him or 🍇ing him, etc etc,

What do you prefer?

Me personally a). I think 🍇ing someone is such a vile and disgusting act that I can never ever support it even if it’s done to the worst of the worst like him. The act alone is just so vile and evil that it’s never justifiable in my eyes. There is a reason nowhere ever 🍇 was a punishment ever.
