Welcome to Salerano – A highly-detailed, Italian-inspired city built on stories, hyper-detailing, and lore (WIP)

Hey everyone! I wanted to share a comprehensive look at my current passion project: Salerano, a heavily modded town deeply inspired by the authentic atmosphere, grit, and beauty of regional Italy.
Instead of just building roads, I like focusing on the everyday life of my Cims and the history of the landscape. Here is a tour through the city via the screenshots attached:
Local Fish Market: A close-up of the daily catch. I spent a lot of time detailing the open-air stands, the props for the fresh fish, and making sure the area felt bustling with locals.

The Promenade at Night: Neon lights (Albergo Paradiso, Ristorante, Parrucchiera) and an ice cream truck right by the sandy shore. Getting that classic 80s/90s Italian summer evening vibe was key here.

The Abandoned Station: A decaying, overgrown railway building with a heavily rusted, moss-covered train car. Love adding these historical layers to the city's lore.

Industrial Decay: An old, abandoned factory complex, slowly being reclaimed by nature with rust textures, overgrown weeds, and stagnant water.

The Old Docks: A small lakeside/coastal pier with fishing boats, wooden barrels, crates, and a cozy pink house.

The Moto & Panini Hub: A street-food kiosk ("Panini - Gelati - Caffe") where local youth gather with their scooters and motorbikes next to a worn-out asphalt lot.

Welcome to Salerano: The main entry road transition where the high-speed road turns into a city street, framed by rural wooden fences and dense Mediterranean brush.

Everything you see is a Work in Progress (WIP). I'm currently working on a massive luxury beach resort and custom pool right behind the main historic tunnel, but I wanted to show you the vibe of the rest of the city first.
I’d love to hear your feedback on the detailing, lighting, and overall atmosphere! Which corner is your favorite?

WIP: First draft of the Salerano beach resort & pool. Planned layout changes ahead

Hey everyone! Here is a first look at the new pool area for my Italian-inspired town, Salerano. I’m planning to make several big detailing changes over the next few days to improve the realism and layout:
The Pool Deck: I'm removing the bulky concrete stairs and replacing them with clean, metallic swimming pool ladders.

Asset Realignment: The large circular planter currently sitting on the right will be moved to the left, aligning it perfectly with the transition point where the wood decking meets the stone pavement.

The Grottto Concept: I’m going to raise that flat, semi-submerged rock and connect it to the main pool area via a wooden walkway. If it works out, I want to hollow it out into a small cave/grotto and place a hidden kiosk inside with tables and lounge chairs.

Logistics & Entry: Finally, I’m bulldozing the two houses on the far right to make room for a dedicated resort parking lot and a custom, exclusive gated entrance.

Let me know what you think of these upcoming changes!
