Housing Works' "Bride on a Buck" returns June 6th

In case you're getting married and looking for more affordable attire and accessories, Bride on a Buck by Housing Works is happening on Saturday, June 6th. Looks like VIB tickets are for early entry are sold out, but regular entry tickets are free and available.

They'll have a lot of new and gently used wedding items for steep discounts. I'm not affiliated with Housing Works, but wanted to pass along the word!

Cat with asthma and heart murmur undergoing anesthesia?

Age: 12 years old
History: asthma treated with flovent and is currently also on prednisolone. Grade 4 heart murmur, but echocardiogram showed nothing abnormal. Bloodwork is normal. Heart also looked normal on x-ray, but x-ray did show inflammation in her lungs from asthma.

Situation: I took my cat, Kairi, to the vet because she has been losing weight and not acting like herself (less playful and active). She still eats, drinks and uses her litter box well. X-ray showed a mass in her chest that the radiologist said could be cancer or a granuloma. She would need a CT scan to better understand.

I know that CT scans require anesthesia, but given Kairi's asthma and heart murmur, my worst fear is that she doesn't come home. Can someone help me understand the real risks of this? FWIW, I do not intend to pursue surgery or aggressive treatment if it's cancer because I don't feel putting her through the stress and pain is worth it to, maybe only minorly, extend her life. I'm trying to weigh the pros and cons here, but could really use some guidance on options.
