I’m going away to University in a month, my brother got me this game for my birthday since he knew I’m a big Persona fan and haven’t played this one yet.

I wasn’t expecting to have such a “this story came to me at the most perfect time” moment, but here we are.

This story reminded me of things I’ve always known, in some form, but never really paid much attention to. In some aspects, things I’ve outright ignored altogether.

Being reminded of these things was exactly what I needed before this big step I’m about to take, into the rest of my life.

It makes me sad that there’s a number of Persona fans that can’t see past certain elements of this game because of their loyalty to the original/FES (which isn’t a bad thing) because if it wasn’t for this game I don’t think I would have experienced this story for myself.

The gameplay was fun, for sure. But…this story…wow…

My heart hurts, my head hurts from all the silent crying I’ve been doing, and I’m trying so hard not to be cringe about it but I don’t think I can care about that. This story made me genuinely feel something that almost…healed something in me?

Life…is life. Warts and all, it’s still life.

That new game plus playthrough I was planning to do immediately after finishing this first one might have to wait;

I really want to live now. Like, actually live.

Thank you, Atlus. Thank you everyone that had a hand in this amazing story that, quite frankly, has changed my outlook on so much.

God, I need an aspirin.

Finally, people are letting me play my boy in Ranked.
