Rear spring upgrade? Is it worth it?

Not wanting to get too crazy with the suspension; Just wondering if a rear spring upgrade is what im after for a budget option. trying to fight some of the sag when riding (im 220lb) and want to throw on some camping gear for some motocamping.

Is doing only the rear spring a viable option? I havent had too much problem with the front, just notice I lose alot of travel and bounce alot on bumps in the road with the rear. I hear the stock spring is 70kn, what should I be after for a goal of ~250lbs of weight on the bike?

let me know all your thoughts and opinions

Going bigger or smaller for a second bike? (Grom or CB500X)

I have a nicely built CRF 300L Rally, it does everything. However, I want another motorcycle to go with it. Let me lay out the conundrum; its a true Heart vs Mind decision.

CB500X Pros:
Would be a smoother road trip bike (I want to take many road trips, taken a few on my Rally) for the 70+ MPH roads, although the Rally can already do these, albeit with some vibration and wind swaying.

I can take my girlfriend on the back of it, the Rally can in theory, but I would want to upgrade my suspension first and that would only work for around town, no road trips 2 up on the 300.

Would probably be nicer to commute (I moto commute full time) on for the highway section and gets more range and MPG than my 300L at 65+ mph.

CB500X Cons:
Not as light as the Rally, would be less fun to be on once I arrived at my destination (moto-camping or exploring)

~$5k to buy in, modifications would be expensive too.

Im afraid I would be left wanting even more, such as a TransAlp 750 especially if my GF gets into road trips with me, leaving the 500X as a wasted stop on my way to a bigger bike.

Grom Pros:
I started on an XR150L and loved it, I wish I still had a tiny goofy bike to ride, the Grom is even tinier and goofier.

I have a mild interest in learning to stunt a bike, but don't want to drop something fragile like my Rally

~$2.5k buy in, cheaper gas, cheaper insurance, and cheaper parts for modification.

Wont feel bad lending to my brother to learn how to ride, I want to get him into motorcycles

Grom Cons:
A decent chunk of the roads to get places are 55mph+, but there are other routes and I have the 300

Its mostly a passion rather than a purpose unlike the 500X

Doesnt solve the "want to take my GF places" problem
