As title says. just wondering if there is a fix, or it's expected to go buy another one... I've seen this online as an common issue, but can't find an answer if it's been solved by anyone.
As title says. Bought a 2013 F150 for about $4K. Has some rust and needed leaf spring repair. I knew this going in. What I didn't know was that the dealership and surrounding local shops would try and get near 4K to replace them. Should have quoted before purchase, that's on me.
I'm doing it myself with a buddy as company and assistance when needed. Problem is I forgot the truck has side bed steps and the assembly is right in front of the front spring bolt. This will be a problem for my break wrench, cutting the old bolt, and torquing it at the end.
Imagine step removal should be easy, but the bolts go into the frame it seems, and I can't find anything really explaining or showing how to remove it, which I plan to do.
Be really appreciative of any advice to get both sides removed.
