New Clarks Wallabees with gash in foot bed?

These Wallabees (the classic ones with the crepe sole) just arrived today directly from Clarks and it appears there is a cut in the leather on one of the shoes. Is this something that will just get worse as I wear them? Or am I wasting my time by returning them? I am worried that as my feet sweat and rub the edges of this cut that it will peel up at some point. It's right in the area where your foot flexes too and I feel like this could become problematic. Thoughts?

My newest addition...

Just had this one delivered a few days ago. It's a collaboration with Red Wing Shoes and comes with a strap made with leather from Red Wing's tannery...S.B. Foot. Unfortunately, it was too small for my giant wrist so I had to swap it out. Kinda bummed about the strap not fitting but I still love the watch anyway.

Really love this MK1 quartz

I got this one a little while back and really love it. I recently decided to try it on an od green nato and it seems to match the dial perfectly. I'm a big dude with pretty large wrists at 8.5" so the 40mm case is on the smaller side for me but I love it anyway. Unfortunately, all my watches ultimately become "handwatches" because of the way my wrist and forearm are built. Makes me wonder if any of the photos I've posted have ended up on that handwatch sub lol. Oh well.

Failing battery?

I'm trying to get this watch to fully charge after being completely dead for some time but no matter what I do it won't seem to charge past this point. It will briefly go to the last bar when it's still in the sun but drops back down to the level in the photo shortly after taking it out of the sun. I bought this watch in 2011 and have never had the battery replaced so is it possible it's just time to replace it? Aside from this issue it operates normally.

My new Odyn BM7637-81H

I just got this Odyn (BM7637-81H) yesterday and absolutely love it. It's my second Citizen watch, my first being a Skyhawk A-T that I purchased in 2011. I know the Odyn isn't on the higher end of the Citizen collection but I'm pretty impressed at such an affordable price. Hopefully the mineral crystal won't get scratched TOO easily but I guess we'll see how it holds up. Oh and I know it probably looks tight but it's actually not. It must just be the way I have my wrist angled. It's actually a very comfortable watch.

Strap change...

I decided to change it up a bit with my MW240. I used some G-Shock nato adapters and installed a 24mm black nato strap to beef it up a bit for my big 8.5" wrist. The stock strap was usable but just barely haha. This one gives me a bit more wiggle room though and is much more comfortable. For a sub $30 watch, this thing is great.

Tan Essex Diesels after two years

I just wanted to share my two year old Diesels in tan Essex leather. They are not everyday boots since I do have others I rotate through but they are definitely one of my favorites among a collection that includes Wolverine 1000 Miles, Red Wing 1907s, multiple Jim Greens, Helm Zinds, vintage military boots, Thursday Captains, and a few others I can't think of at the moment. The color these have taken on over two years of use is amazing. During that time I've used a bit of neatsfoot oil to purposely darken them slightly and mostly Venetian Shoe Cream to give them a tiny bit of shine and that's pretty much it. The Diesel is damn near a perfect boot as far as I'm concerned. From the design to the last to the outstanding build quality, if you can only get one boot this would not be a bad choice at all.
