Heute hatten wir Chemo Nummer 11. Und diesmal klappte die Infusion wieder im liegen. Die letzten Male wollte die Infusion im liegen nicht so gut laufen. Heute war es wieder gar kein Problem.

Heute war schon die 10. es fehlen noch mindestens 2.
für das Standard Protokoll werden dann noch 4 weitere gemacht. 🙏🏻
Wir hoffen das wir die vollen 16 schaffen, um ihm die besten Chancen für die remission zu geben.

These are some of my favorite drawings

I loved drawing my dog in different styles, still trying to figure out which style is the best and fits him the most.

Loki is battling cancer right now. He had already started chemotherapy, and we finally felt like we had hope.

Then, last weekend, everything changed.

During a walk, Loki suddenly collapsed.

He was breathing heavily, and we immediately called his vet. He told us to come in right away.

The blood test revealed something terrifying.

His red blood cell count had dropped to 1.95 million, far below normal. It was dangerously low.

Suddenly, cancer wasn’t our only battle anymore.

The vets now suspect that, despite being protected against ticks, Loki may also have contracted a tick-borne disease. They believe it is attacking and destroying his red blood cells.

Without treatment, he could have slipped into a coma… and we could have lost him.

Loki immediately received vitamin B12, iron, EPO to help stimulate red blood cell production, antibiotics, and prednisolone. The goal was to treat every possible cause while we waited for answers. The hardest part is that dogs are incredibly good at hiding when something is wrong…until it’s almost too late.

Today is his next check-up.

I’m holding onto hope with everything I have.

I hope his blood values have started to recover.

I hope we can continue his chemotherapy soon.

And more than anything…

I hope I still get to make many more drawings of him in the years to come.

a few days ago, our Loki was diagnosed with lymphoma. B-cell type. The good thing is: with CHOP chemotherapy, he has a real chance at a long remission. The protocol runs for 19 weeks.

The initial tests already cost us €1,500. Now the chemo costs are on top of that – roughly €4,000–€5,500 in total. Our fundraising goal is €3,500, and we are covering everything beyond that ourselves as best as we can.

We’re doing everything we possibly can and pooling everything we have, but it’s still not quite enough.

Loki shows us every single day: he wants to live.

I can’t let him go when there’s a real chance. So I’m doing the only thing I can think of: I’m asking you for help.

I love drawing these. And I looking for models every now and then ☺️.

But the photos need to be in a good quality, sharp, neutral lighting and on the eye level of your pet!!!

Since these are take a lot of time, it will take quite a while to finish them 😵‍💫.
But my holidays are in a month and I have finally a bit free time ☺️.

I will come back to this post whenever I can draw a new portrait, but the photos must be high quality for this style 🙏🏻
