how do i attach the hinged jaw??

i just got a 3d printed base, and it had this little nodule to attach the jaw to the head, but what kind of fixture?? thing?? would i need to actually make the jaw move im pretty sure ill have to add strong elastic to make it go back up but other than that i have no idea???
