Hello, I just bought this digital camera at a flea market. The battery contacts look clean, and the camera overall is in good physical shape. However, I don't know much about digital cameras. When I insert the AA batteries, the camera shows no signs of life—no sounds, no lights. Also, when the batteries are inside, the battery compartment lid doesn't close fully. Even when I squeeze the lid tightly shut with my hands and try to turn it on, it still doesn't work. What can I do? Is this something I can fix?

My grandma moved to a new house years ago, and the previous owner left this TV there. Today, I told them I was planning to buy a CRT TV, and they just gave it to me! They weren't using it anyway; it was just gathering dust. Anyway, here is the TV. I'm waiting for a PlayStation 2 now—it's on the way.
