Is it refering to overall power or simply having a path?

Gun’s fight against Daniel in Hostel is really talked about when scaling Base Gun, however, his perfomance against Daniel on a fight that happened around 300+ chapter ago does not hold up to the current scaling of the story.

1. Gun vs Daniel: the “conclusion”
   During Hostel Arc, Gun and UI Daniel clash for the first time, and in that fight they are portrayed to be basicallt equal, as everytime one lands a blow, the other responds with another blow neither are able to avoid that perfectly. This is PTJ showing that Daniel and Gun are evenly matched, and im pretty sure there is even a interview where PTJ shows that. The fight ends when Daniel wakes up in his SB, laying on top of a broken arm Gun, but being unable to move due to the injuries he had sustained. Even if you believe UI Daniel would have won, its clear that both of them are basically equals. So if Hostel Gun=Daniel, and Hostel Gun gets massively stronger (Charles states in HFG that Gun is always training and perfecting his strength) , HFG Gun>UI Daniel, right? I could go over TUI fight, but one could argue that the TUI Gun that Daniel fought was massively injured, therefore, on a similar level to a fresh Hostel Gun. And no, using Daniel’s perfection weakness as an argument is not good seeing as UI fight efficently like a machine, and it is not very efficient for him to get beaten to a point that he couldnt even move against Gun, and during that fight is not on character for Gun to use the weakness (at least on the start of their fight) as he is trying to enjoy their fight as much as he can.

Gun and Goo are clearly portrayed as equals, throughout all of the story, and the only time that rivalry is broken is when Gun uses TUI in HFG. I dont really think i need to prove that Base Gun= Moonlight Goo, even if one is slightly stronger.

2.Where things start to get weird
Given that Gun=Goo, Goo’s perfomance against Pacheon shows us how Gun would perform, and it is pretty bad being honest. Pacheon literally says Goo is weak, block all of Moons 1-3 and overwhelms him easily with his unique skill, Gun, someone who doesnt even have a sword and is weak against slashing attacks (Eli is proof) would get done even worst. So based on Incheon, we can conclude that:

Pacheon>Moonlight Goo~Base Gun=UI Daniel

Wow! Pacheon is really strong, huh? But things get weird when Pacheon admitted clear inferiority againat Path Daniel, and directly says that he has absolutely zero chance to win no matter what he did (which should include getting the Hwarang sword that is in the room of using DBT) , so we can also conclude that
Incheon Path Daniel>Pacheon>Goo=Gun=UI Daniel
In HFW arc, we see a stronger (as Daniel is shown training and improving his path and Pacheon implies that if Daniel awakened it a second earlier he would be dead) Path Daniel getting mid diffed by non path Kitae, and even id Path Daniel was exhausted, after figuring out his path weakness, Daniel wouldnt be able to do anything against Kitae who could tank at least 5 more attack anyways. whom even says that Pacheon is weak in the oficial translation, so

Path Kitae>>Base Kitae>Path Daniel>Pacheon>UI Daniel

But after that we see a stronger, Path Kitae being pushed by Little UI Daniel who is directly copying the SB even if it breaks his body, and even though Kitae won pretty handily, it should show that UI Daniel is relative/equal or even above Path Kitae (even though i disagree on the above part) , Kitae who by all that is shown through this post should be way stronger than HFG Gun/UI Daniel

3.Conclusion:
Kitae is matched by UI SB Daniel despite him being shown to be stronger than Path Daniel, who is stronger than Pacheon, who is stronger than Moonlight Goo, who is equal to Gun, who should also equal to UI Daniel considering their Hostel fight. This scaling contradiction should be considered PTJ retconning a characters strength, the same way he showed that Tom is weaker than Moonlight Goo but then Tom pulled a new form out of his ass and overwhelmed James Lee.
