Cat with mass in stomach

My 7yo cat has slowly been going off her food over the last week and a half. 2 days ago she developed Horner's syndrome. Took her to the vet today and the vet felt a mass in her stomach below her left kidney. The mass is about 7cm. She has also lost 1kg since her last check up last August.

The vet said we could go down the blood test and ultrasound route but he is pretty sure it is cancer. He gave her a 48hr steroid shot but said this is only a bandaid to the real issue.

I lost a cat back in 2019 to suspected lymphoma and she ended up having 2 strokes, the second taking her over the rainbow bridge.

I don't want my cat to suffer at all and want her to go on a good week so I have booked an euthanasia appointment for Monday.

Am I doing the right thing?

Female 7 yrs old

Speyed and vaccinated.

She has been slowly going downhill for a week and a half.

Haven't done blood tests or ultrasound.
