I recently tried X4 Foundations and I want to get into more space games.

As the title says, I have been really enjoying my time with X4, and I see a lot of people who play it also played Elite And Dangerous, however checking that game I saw a lot of negative opinions on it.

So I am wondering, should I try Elite And Dangerous anyway, or maybe something more general like Starfield that I haven't tried yet.

I am looking at games where you pilot an ship and interact with NPCs, any other recommendations are also welcome.

About Fleet delivery missions, and base building missions?

Ship delivery:

1.) If the mission specifies the equipment, must it be that exact equipment or can I add better ones?

2.) Does adding items like Mines improve the value of the ship?

3.) If it says something like Corvette, can I make any faction corvettes or does it have to be the faction I am doing the mission for?

About bases:

1.) Again, must I use faction related equipment. Especially admin modules, I read that is how factions control a space?

2.) If size is specified, can I make it larger anyway?

3.) Can I just inflate value by adding things? For example Teladi bases are so cheap to build that even with +50 percent I won't reach the sell limit.

4.) If I build a base in someone else space with an admin building, will that anger them?

Bonus trade question, but not important:

Why do ships trading between my own bases sometimes not use all their cargo space? This doesn't happen always, however mostly happens with Energy cells. I have checked all I can and tried repeat orders, auto trade, assigning to trade. Nothing fixes it when it happens. but it doesn't always happen.
