Hey guys i am applying for the fast test that will be conducted in a few weeks. I was confused we can select the date of our choice or is it just some random date given by the university itself

To all the graduates especially cs .Did you all find it difficult to get a job or showcase your skills due to extreme competition and how are you overcoming it? Do you suggest choosing a field that is flooded with students which will make competition hard or just choose similar but with less competition (which is not the case mostly).
