I was leaving work a few months back . This was around 600 pm in December , the sky was getting dark but still slightly overcast , a normal workday for the most part .

I was going through the main road in my city , the traffic is still a little congested because of the last remnants of rush hour and I’m stopped at a red light just wanting to get home and read ..

I see horse legs , not solid but definitely horse legs and then notice his head as well , these are all in plain view of my headlights. It lasts about 30 seconds and he’s literally walking across the street into a large field . When he hits the field he disappears. I was not doubting what I saw and it was obvious to me that it was the spirit of a deceased horse .

I was baffled as to why it was there and decided to research the area he was seen in and was surprised to find that until the 1930s the whole area was a working farm.

I’m guessing this horse decided to stick around his old stomping grounds and seems to go on with his normal way of life , walking the same pasture and roads that he always did ..

I drove by the area many more times but didn’t run into my non corporeal friend again ..

I and my girlfriend since moving in together have had numerous encounters with the paranormal. These are for the most part seeing our deceased pets, hearing meows ,feeling fur walk against our legs and hearing my deceased lhasa apso scratching her ears. The most intense incident for me was when I was looking into the bathroom mirror and seeing my girlfriend's three year old brother who unfortunately drowned 19 years before this incident floating behind me, watching me from the bathroom door .

Ive posted stories about my meeting her brother, about our cats and dog and also posted a video on a ghost subbreddit which clearly shows ghostly phenomena in our home ..this is all true , I would be and was skeptical myself before these amazing incidents. On with the incident.

It was an early morning and we both had work that day . I woke her up and then told her I was going to go to the 7-11 and that id be back shortly .. She tells me that she'll be showering when I'm gone and don't be alarmed if I try to call her for one reason or another and she doesn't answer. Easy enough right?

I walk outside into the cool dark morning air. I made it quickly to my car and sat in it while I ran the heat staring at our large one hundred and ten year old apartment, I notice a door open where I thought the boiler room would be , it's cracked at first and then opens completely, i saw no one but figured it was a homeless person waking up to see who was leaving the lot but at the same time didn't want to give away his sleeping spot and was ducking behind the door as a means to stay hidden .

I think nothing of it , drive to 711 , get whatever the hell I was intending to get and then drive home.I walk upstairs and open our door to find my girlfriend in a towel on the bed , she's visibly shaken. I immediately know something's wrong but was quite shocked at what she told me. She was in the shower and all of a sudden the light on the room decreased as if someone had a dimmer switch , at first she thought it was her eyes playing tricks on her but it happened again and then again ,it was as if the light bulb was being covered up or slowly blotted out. She starts getting upset and senses a negative presence in the room coming towards her . A split second later our cat Echo who at that time had been non corporeal for two years appeared on the bathroom floor and screeched and yowled, as soon as he did this the light immediately went back to normal, the negative presence was gone and she felt safe but still very unnerved by the whole incident...

Long story short we both concluded that this dark spirit was waiting for me to leave , watching me from the door I thought was to a boiler room . I didn't see anyone holding it open because it was being done so by a ghost. The room I thought it led to also wasn't what I thought it was. It was a walled off room with no access from the inside of the apartment, every other time I checked that door it was also locked.

Later on in that same month we both left early and while standing outside before getting into our car felt like a negative force was watching us from around the back corner of the apartment, as soon as we both said how we felt we heard Echo yowl and scream again ,this time at the same back corner of the apartment..after this we knew that the dastardly cowardly ghost would never be able to bother us again ..

I had a very odd hair raising experience last spring. Before I start I want to add i have had quite a few paranormal experiences in life in fact more than my fair share . After everyone I'm always intrigued , questioning everything that led up to and during the experience in an attempt to understand the why, who and how of the situations in question. I will also add that almost every experience I've had has either been positive or neutral in regards to the feelings involved and also in regards to the beings themselves. The story I'm leading up to though is one of the more frightening .

It was a work week , normal and mundane as could be. There were no signs or premonitions leading up to the event .

I remember it was a Thursday night and I had been up playing the guitar , watching TV etc . Everything was good, I was getting sleepy and headed to the bedroom . My girlfriend was already in bed and asleep along with our cats . I remember it was around midnight when I actually laid down to sleep . Sleep came quickly this night and I was thankful .

I remember laying my head down and then for some reason awakening around 3:00 a.m. I sat up and looked around the darkened room and to my surprise I heard someone or something whistling outside the bedroom window . It wasn't a bird nor any type of animal . I didn't want to look and make things worse so I said nothing , didn't attempt to awaken my girlfriend and just sat there sitting up as still as can be .

I was alarmed for several reasons . One of the biggest ones being that our bedroom is twenty feet off of the ground and there are no fire escapes or scaffolding that would allow someone or something to walk up to the window . The whistling wasn't really any song and only consisted of one long note . I kept getting the impression that it was non corporeal and human like in some way .

Before I could react I heard a second being whistling the exact same way only this time it wasn't outside the house which was bad enough but instead it was clearly in our hallway a few feet from our shut bedroom door. I heard them together whistling that weird note and was wondering what the hell was going on. Meanwhile my girlfriend and cats were still sleeping without a care in the world.

Let me add from the time I sat up in bed to when I heard them both whistling was roughly ten or fifteen seconds . I had read many books on the subject of the fae, ghosts , aliens ,time slips etc and for some reason I thought my best reaction would be to put my head back down on the pillow and go back to sleep .

I didn't acknowledge them and ignored what was happening.

I remembered the works of Yeats and Wentz on the fairy faith and the advice that many of the older Irish folk( circa late 19th early 20th century) gave when asked what to do in a situation involving the Fae Folk or a non corporeal human . It is also the advice of people living in Appalachia and the Ozarks,the advice simply being to ignore it,you didn't hear a thing , go back to sleep....and amazingly that's exactly what I did without a second thought . I woke up the next day and everything was normal.

I've never experienced this situation again and pray that it stays that way. I do catch myself researching and digging trying to find anything similar to my experience but at the present can't find anything that is close. If anyone has anything to share please do, any thoughts on the matter are appreciated.

Quick question- i read somewhere a few years back that the american performer mustang were going to have its pickups transition from alnico 2 and 4 to alnico 5, can anyone verify thanks .

This is not my story , I’m simply sharing it because it’s intriguing.

Spring break of 2010. My buddies and I decided to camp out on an island at a local lake. One night as we are cooking food and drinking beer, a canoe floats by with one guy in it. He asks how were doing and we invite him to our island for grilled meat and beers. Being in South Arkansas, we naturally assume that everyone is friendly and wants to hang out. His name was Curt and he was super friendly but really seemed to be sad.

We asked him what was up and he replied Oh nothing really, its just that my friends are probably worried about me. He looked at me and winked. theyll find out soon enough. That still haunts to this day. Everyone liked Curt and, noticing that it was getting dark and he had been drinking, we offered to let him stay with us that night. He declined saying that he had to get to where he was going and he seemed very adamant about that. I asked where he was headed thinking maybe we could give him a ride on a jet ski or something.

Curt ignored the question and said you boys dont know how lucky you are.

He hopped in his canoe and left. We didnt think much about it.The next morning we woke up early to do some fishing. As were fishing, a police boat pulls up. The officer asks if were part of the search party that found the body. We obviously have no clue what he is talking about so he tells us a story about a young man in a canoe that disappeared last week. Apparently divers found his body at the bottom of the lake two days before. The young mans name was Curt Clark. This was so freaky for us that we all packed up and left camp that day.

HOT SPRINGS — Searchers on Monday recovered the body of a teenager who drowned when his canoe capsized on Lake Ouachita last week. They found the body of Curtis Payton Clark, 19, in about 43 feet of water around 3 p.m. after previous attempts to locate the corpse failed, Garland County sheriff’s spokesman Lt. James Martin said.

Clark was from Helena-West Helena. He and a friend were in the water last Thursday during windy weather, which caused the canoe to capsize about 200 yards from shore. Both tried to swim to safety, but Clark went under. Arkansas, Pages 9 on 03/30/2010
