Worried about a bird
So I sprayed a wasp nest and a bird came by the next day and ate the wasps. Will the bird be OK?

BSA is becoming...BS. They are now cutting costs in some interesting ways. No salt and pepper packets with your food. No soft drinks unless you press them for one. Certainly no soft drinks for family any more. There's a new limit on popsicles. No valet parking. Sub-contracting out everything they can. Laying off people that have been there almost 30 years because they make too much money.
Meanwhile, they are charging $11,000 for a heart scan that takes 25 minutes, and $22,000 for a one night stay in the hospital that probably wasn't necessary if their ER had been worth a flip. Charging for multiple doctor consults even though the doctor only saw us twice, both for less than 5 minutes.
Someone needs to turn this place in to the FBI, Medicare, or whoever. Lots of shady stuff going on.
That means hundreds of new, good-paying jobs.
Tyson Foods to restructure beef operations, ramp up second shift in Amarillo
That's another $500K saved to pay for someone's yacht parked in Monte Carlo. Yet another relic of the old BSA gone.
The doctors are top notch, so let's get that straight. But that's of little help when their staffs are lazy, incompetent, and dishonest. What help is a good doctor, when their staff is unwilling/unable/too lazy to execute the orders of the doctor? Getting the tests ordered, the medicines approved, the referrals made. They will tell you ANYTHING, even if it is a bold-faced lie, just to get you off the phone, presumably to get back to filing their nails or surfing Instagram reels.
The first time we encountered all of this was about a year ago. I discarded it as a one-time thing. Nope. It happens EVERY. SINGLE. TIME. These people seem to have no concept whatsoever of their role - that a patient's life may literally be in their hands while they poke around, lie, and make excuses.
The staff culture at AMS is SICK. Ironic they are in the business of treating the sick.
Just find someone else.
I've been watching his body language and facial expressions this season. He's still the best player on the planet, but it just looks and feels like he's mentally done and doesn't really want to be playing.
He is already talking about the end of the season and spending time with his family, but it isn't even July yet. I am wondering if Scheffler might be one of those athletes that completely walks away from the game sooner than later.
I live in Amarillo. Drove out there after my sandwich. Place is DEAD. Drove all the way up to the entry gates. Two cars there, presumably the gate guys.
All of it sounds like a lot, and it is. But millions, billions, and trillions are very different things.
For example, the farmers in the Texas and Oklahoma panhandles are pumping at just slightly less than 1 TRILLION gallons of water per year from the aquifer.
The average data center is going to consume about 250 million gallons of water per year.
It would take a data center FOUR THOUSAND YEARS (4,000) to use what the region's farmers use in ONE year.
Let's get real, people.

Ouch.
