For context, I'm not really a shiny hunter, but I do like catching shiny pokemon whenever I have a good chance of finding them.

Ever since the size feature was introduced, I've also made it a personal goal to catch my pokemon, shiny or not, in their biggest size possible, or at least the second biggest (which is more reasonable).

Why? Because I hate catching a pokemon that's supposed to look big, cool, or intimidating, only to find out it's actually one of the smaller sizes. It completely changes how they look in battle. Instead of looking imposing, they're looking up at their opponent the whole time, and they lose a lot of the presence they're supposed to have.

Even for pokemon that are meant to be cute or tiny by nature, I still prefer the larger sizes because the smaller ones make it much harder to appreciate their designs during battles.

So naturally, I always try to use Humungo Power whenever I'm shiny hunting or even just catching a pokemon normally.

But here's my problem:

Why is it impossible to make a level 3 Humungo + Encounter + Shiny sandwich?

You can make almost every other combination of level 3 sandwich effects in the game, but for some dumb reason this specific combination just doesn't exist.

That means I always have to choose between:

Using Encounter Power to get significantly more spawns and make shiny hunting much easier, but ending up with mostly average sized pokemon.

Or using Humungo Power to get the biggest sizes, but making the shiny hunt much less efficient because I lose the extra Encounter Power.

It's such a bizarre restriction because those two effects literally work perfectly together. If anything, this feels like one of the combinations people would want the most.

I decided to make this post because the current white striped Basculin outbreak event reminded me of this issue. I'd love to hunt both a shiny male and female Basculegion in their biggest sizes available or at least the second to biggest, but because this sandwich combination doesn't exist, I have to choose between getting more Basculin to spawn or getting larger Basculin to spawn. And I know that outbreaks already give you increased spawns but still. Being able to use encounter power in outbreaks would be a huge help. But you don't benefit from it during outbreaks.

And as I said, you can't even use Level 3 Humungo + Encounter + Shiny sandwich combination in hunts with no outbreaks.

To make things even more frustrating, Spicy Herba Mystica (which is the one you need for Humungo Power) is already the hardest Herba Mystica to farm from tera raids for some dumb reason, and this event doesn't even have boosted shiny odds. That just makes this restriction feel even more unnecessary.

I really wish this combination was avaible. It feels like a missed opportunity for a feature that a lot of players would probably enjoy.

Is there any way to get a Level 3 Humungo + Encounter + Shiny sandwich combination that I'm not aware of? If not, does anyone else find this as frustrating as I do?

I hope this post follows the rules of the sub properly. So I'll preface this post saying that I'm planning to give context first before getting to the main topic.

So I'm a fan of both Danganronpa and Pokemon.

Recently, in Pokemon Horizons, there was an episode focused on Pokemon Unite. A popular spin-off game of the franchise. Which was a pretty interesting episode.

To give a brief summary of it:

In this episode, on Friede's suggestion and to help a female Pokemon Professor called Rin that studies the aeos energy used on "Unite" battles, Liko and Roy along with their friends/members of the Rising Volt Tacklers went to an island to participate and have a match against a team of experienced Pokemon Unite players called Team Shining Ocean. The match was pretty fun and it explained how the mechanics worked and rules of the game really well with pretty good moments from both teams. The episode was pretty good and really fun. Highly recommended.

And while watching it is that I noticed something.

First of all, despite not having names yet, the character designs of the team that went against main cast are all really good. It's great attention to detail.

And second, one of the girls from Team Shining Ocean, the one with the long twintails, REALLY looks like Maki from Danganronpa V3. At least in my opinion. It was an unexpected surprise but a welcome one.

Because I LOVE the character designs in both Pokemon and Danganronpa. And when it comes to Danganronpa, while I love all the designs, I especially like the character designs in Danganronpa V3.

So this Pokemon episode with that character that looks like Maki got me thinking:

Is there any other popular examples of "Danganronpa Dopplegangers"?

The only ones that come to mind aside from the Maki doppleganger from this Pokemon episode are Kaito and Kamina from Gurren Lagan and maybe Junko and Ann from Persona 5.

But I want to know:

Do you think there's other examples of Danganronpa Dopplegangers?
