AITA for asking my sister to pay me back for something she borrowed?

My sister asked to borrow some money from me a few months ago because she was short on rent. She promised she would pay me back within a month, so I agreed. A month passed and I didn't say anything because I knew she was still trying to get back on her feet. Another month passed, and I finally asked when she thought she could pay me back. She got annoyed and said I was making her feel bad when I knew she was struggling. I told her I understood, but it was still money she had promised to return. She then said that because we're family, I shouldn't be keeping track of things like this. That really bothered me because I never said I needed the money immediately. I just wanted her to acknowledge that she owed me something. Now my parents think I'm being too harsh and should just forget about the money. My sister says I'm treating her like a stranger instead of family.I don't think asking someone to keep a promise is unreasonable, even if they're family.AITA for asking my sister to pay me back?

When someone’s assumptions write a whole story for them

I’m mixed and my son looks nothing like what people apparently expect my child to look like. When he was younger, strangers would sometimes stare at both of us and ask if I was his mom. I usually just said yes and moved on, but one woman kept questioning it. She looked at him, looked at me, and said, “Are you sure? He doesn’t look anything like you?” I smiled and said, “Yeah, genetics can be surprisingly creative.” She still looked confused and started explaining how children usually resemble their parents. So I nodded seriously and said, “Exactly. That’s why I’m pretty sure he got his looks from the mailman.” The silence was immediate. She looked absolutely horrified before realizing I was joking. I laughed and told her the truth, but honestly, sometimes people need to hear how ridiculous their assumptions sound when you turn them around.
