Datapoint: CSP --> Chase Freedom Visa

Converted my CSP to the original Chase Freedom Visa. It has the same 5x rotating categories w/ $1500 limit, but does not have the 3x at dining or drugstores (and obviously is a Visa).

The rep initially stated that the only card I could downgrade to was the Freedom Unlimited, which I already have; however, after mentioning that I wanted the "Freedom 5% Visa", the rep found it and proceeded with the downgrade. Interesting for anyone who wants to use the rotating categories on a Visa (ahem Costco), generate another Freedom Flex without drawing the ire of Chase, and/or protect their ability to earn the Freedom Flex SUB.

Western Union Rakuten?

Has anyone tried this Rakuten transfer before? They waive the fee for the first transfer, so seems like a free 1,250 AMEX MR (or Bilt/$12.50 cash).

I should be able to just transfer $100 to my own bank account? Do I have to use a prepaid debit?
