Hey everyone — I’m the creator of PrismQuest-RPG, a browser-based hack-and-slash looter RPG inspired by that old-school “just one more run” feeling. A little about me: I work full-time in IP law/policy, so this is very much a passion project. There will never be monetization. I made this because I wanted this kind of game to exist again.

You can play it here:
https://prismquest-rpg.com

The game is made for people who miss when progression games were more about drops, grinding, class fantasy, and getting stronger over time - not immediately trying to get monetized.

The game is inspired by that simpler mid-2000s era where the hook was basically: get stronger, get loot, keep going. It’s fully free to play, with no download, no microtransactions, you can play as guest with no sign-up and no pay-to-win systems.

You make a character, push progression, farm gear, climb the ladder, and keep building your account. The first full game loop takes around 3 hours, but after some progression and gear, runs usually become closer to about 50–75 minutes.

There’s also a seasonal ladder system: the first person to “beat” the ladder wipes all accounts and starts a new season. I genuinely cannot wait for that to happen for the first time!

I’m still actively updating it, so I’m not here to just dump a link and vanish. I’m happy to answer questions, hear criticism, and talk balance/design with anyone who tries it.

If you do check it out, I’d love to know what you think the game does well, where it needs work, and where you would personally quit or lose interest.
