Weightlifting/intense cardio how long after ablation?

I had my pre-op assessment on Tuesday and whilst I was there I asked the (I think she was a ‘specialised nurse’?) lady a lot of questions, one of which being ‘when can I do intense exercise again?’ And I’m not sure if she understood what I meant because she said I can go back to intense workouts after a week but to be wary of getting out of breath and the wound in my groin area - I probably should’ve specified I meant like 30-60 mins stairmaster, 13 incline treadmill, heavy weightlifting etc (tbf I’m getting back into the gym after being out for a LOOONG time so I’m very weak so it won’t be that heavy but I want to try to do heavy asap), so surely 1 week is far too soon? How long would you recommend from your experience!
(F22)
Also omg ablation on the 19th August for me! scared and excited! So happy it’s not long before my birthday :))
Alsooo if there’s any gals or guys around my age who have wpw wanna add me on insta, I’d love to connect w other people who’ve gone thru the same things as me :D

Is it safe to fly 11 days after an ablation?

Hii I hope this is the right sub, I was diagnosed with Wolff-Parkinson-White earlier this year and I just received my ablation date for a few weeks time, the problem is my mum had already booked a flight for me to see her 11 days after the ablation date because I haven’t seen her or my sister in two years.
Is it safe for me to fly 9hrs40 there 11 days after my ablation?
I can’t wait to ask at my pre-op assessment because my mum needs to know now😭 and I can’t contact my gp until Monday (closed on weekends) but I’m not sure if he would know?
I’m 22F and fairly healthy otherwise😭
Most sources online says 1) 10 days post ablation I should be fine because ablations aren’t that bad, and 2) that as long as you walk a lot during the flight, drink a lot of fluids, and wear compression socks, then you’ll be fine to fly
But obviously a second opinion would be really helpful!
Thanks so much!

Can I fly 11 days after ablation?

Hii sorry I feel like I’m always on here asking stupid questions but I was wondering, my ablation is now scheduled for 3 weeks time (YAY!!! :D) and before I knew abt my diagnosis, my mum booked for me to see her in the USA (I’m in the UK, she lives in the US and I haven’t seen her for 2 years) in 4 weeks (11 days post ablation), the cardio team aren’t responding to my queries (fair enough they’re busy people haha) so I’m wondering, will I be safe to fly 11 days after ablation? Is there any reason I wouldn’t be safe to fly? I’ll buy compression socks and stuff ( I think those are supposed to help right?)
Also I’m F22 if that makes a difference!

Thanks so much!

Pre-op assessment

I’ve posted here a lot now about every update I get haha (F22, NHS, London), and I’ve just finally heard that I should have my pre-op assessment in just less than two weeks :D
I was wondering what are peoples experiences with the assessment?
I was referred for an ablation by an EP in June so I’m also wondering if they can make me wait longer for my ablation after this? :( The lovely guy on the phone said the ablation shouldn’t be too long after the assessment but can they push it back if I’ve had less symptoms in the last few weeks compared to the start of the year?
(I collapsed twice, once in march and once in may and have been collapsing on and off 1-2 times a year since 2020) and to be honest, the UK heatwave has made me essentially catatonic haha, I’m not taking the medicine they gave me because pills stress me out and they told me the other pills I had been prescribed (and had been taking for quite a while) shouldn’t have been? So I’ve been trying to not really move for the last month and tbf it’s worked, I haven’t been as symptomatic but still get pain, palpitations, etc daily but now they dont tend to last more than 10 mins at a time wooo

Just needed to vent

I’m F22 and idek what to write. I don’t really have anyone to speak to and can’t afford a therapist anymore.
I was abused by my sister dad from around 2008/09 until like maybe 2015/2016 I can’t even remember anymore. Anyways that man has been out of my life for about 7 years now.
But, since like 2020 my dad (bio dad) has been getting more and more unhinged as the years go on. I’ve realised he’s a complete misogynist and I think he only respected me up until around 2020/2021 because I looked like a boy and acted like a boy until then. He’s always had anger issues but I used to idolise him.
In 2022, just a few weeks before I moved to uni I heard him get angry and push my step mum to the ground. I know it’s awful but I didn’t do anything and to this day I’ve said nothing.
Fast forward to today, I’m finishing up my masters degree but I’ve had to move home because I’ve been diagnosed with a heart condition meaning that I’m not really allowed to walk/go anywhere/do anything so my step mum wanted me to finish my assignments from home (haven’t had classes since like April but my course doesn’t end until late August). My dad is so angry all the time, if you disagree with him over anything he might not yell but you can tell he’s furious and will lash out if you press further, I feel like me and my step mum have become much meeker versions of ourselves, well more so my stepmum, I just try not to state any opinions (he’s very right wing and I am very left wing and he refuses to do any real research because he’s a genuine fucking idiot). He thinks he’s right about everything and will not take it any other way.
My mum is a narcissist and she’s caused hell in my life, I don’t know what my dad is but he’s also nuts. To my knowledge he’s only shoved/pushed my step mum, yelled at her, violently shaked her bed to keep her awake but there’s also been a ton of time I haven’t been around so idk what goes down. I don’t know what to do but he’s kicking our dog and shoving him quite hard.
I just feel so lost, I feel like even tho I’m doing being hit or verbally abused anymore, I feel as if I’ve never felt truly safe (at uni I dated an abusive man who I lived with because I’m stupid).
I want to sit my step mum down and chat to her when he goes away for work (he’s away two days a week) but she’s such a private person and I’ve been trying to defend her when he’s here but she keeps acting like I’m saying strange things I just don’t know what to do. She saved my life, I never would have gotten this far in life without her, I wish I could do something.
I’m not rereading this because I just needed to get this out so if there’s mistakes in here pls ignore, I can’t bring myself to read it again.
This is only a snippet but I feel if I expand I’ll have a panic attack.
Anyways thank u to this subreddit I needed to get this out

Ablation question, rlly scared :(

Hi guysss, I had my pre-ablation consultation with an electrophysiologist a month ago now (NHS) and received a letter last week surmising our appointment and also added details about the ablation. He mentioned that he ‘knew’ where the issue was and it seemed to be in an easy place to fix - now, I was quite anxious in this appointment so idk I feel like he was trying to settle me because I’ve literally only had ECGs and an echocardiogram (no other tests) can he rlly see/tell where the issue is in my heart from just those?
He also mentioned the possibility of heart block and other things and like, is it that common? He made it sound quite common but idk argh I’m just stressed I’ll never be able to exercise or just live normally again :(

This UK heatwave has made me bed bound basically bc I experience near-syncope a lot more now due to the heat and it’s just so isolating and scary, I’m 22 and like I wanna go out and see my friends but I literally cannot, I tried last weekend but felt so unwell for two days it’s just so shit honestly :(

Post EP-Consult question

Hiii sorry to post againnn but I just had my first consultation with my electrophysiologist who said I’m very eligible for an ablation (I’ve collapsed twice this year and experience near-syncope like 1-2 times a week😭😭) but he said I’m going waiting 1-3 months from now, what are peoples experiences (preferably people who have gone thru the NHS)? Am i really going to have to wait 3 months? I know realistically this isn’t too long but I live alone and can barely do my weekly shop at this point and the EP consultant said it wasn’t in his hands which i totally get but gosh this is all so poo haha, ughh I can’t wait for this to be over😭
Anyone’s experience with waiting times would be much appreciated! I’m in London if that matters

NHS timeline? Help?

Hiya! I posted here a couple times but for the rundown: I was diagnosed in early March and my cardiology appointment was supposed to be October but was expedited to May 9th (along with my echo) because I collapsed again and my EP appointment was supposed to be July 9th but I have just been offered an EP appointment this Friday.
So when can I realistically expect my ablation to be?
I collapsed in March and again in May and have pain, palpitations, breathlessness etc daily (and have collapsed for the last 6 years but never went to the gp about them) - will I be taken seriously and be seen soon? I’m based in London if that makes a difference?

Hiya I’m 22F and from the UK and was diagnosed with WPW in early March, I am supposed to have my Echo in June and my 24hr tap/holter in July and my cardiology appointment in October.
Wpw has affected my life so much more than I thought it was going to like very slight changes in posture can trigger palpitations etc and I have the feeling before collapse a few times a week.
Now to get to my question - my mum lives in America and said she can get me really good insurance (something like PPO United health care IMG or something?), she has said that if I visit from the 20th-30th May and go to Tampa General Hospital ER and then call the EP people there then I can get an ablation within the ten days I’d be staying there so I just wanted to ask if this is feasible?
Currently I live alone and can’t really walk to the shops without feeling like I’m going to collapse so sustaining myself has been quite hard and my local hospital can’t really do much for me so I’m just generally asking for advice, is this feasible? October is a long time away and that isn’t even an ablation :(
(For context I’ve been collapsing for the last 6 years)
I’ve also not been offered an ablation yet so I’m scared they aren’t going to but living alone with no one around me is so scary atm idk :(
