Question regarding top coats
I have seen people saying the best way to panel line and apply waterslides on a kit is to do so over a gloss topcoat or gloss paints. What if I am wanting to make my build look matte in the end? Would I simply do a more matte topcoat layer on top of the panel lining and slides?
I'd love some advice for order of operations when priming and painting and sealing, as well as for out of the box kits when I am only panel lining and doing slides!
So far im understanding prime > paint > topcoat layer > panel line/wash and slides > seal with topcoat
Is this the vibe? If it helps I plan to spray can paint and then apply details with washes and/or dry brushing.
And for out of the box: Build> mask joints > topcoat with limbs off > panel line and slides > topcoat
Thanks a ton! Customizing is a whole rabbit hole.
