Thoughts on 3D printed fidgets?
I'm curious as to what people think about purchasing 3D printed fidgets from places like Etsy or similar.
I have a 3D printer and have printed lots of fun fidgets, but I generally avoid purchasing 3D printed goods for my own reasons.
Recently I stumbled upon a few different shops selling 3D printed sliders for $60 each, which is quite frankly mind-blowing to me because I know the costs involved. It seems they sell quite well, so I'm just wondering if people don't know, don't care, or possibly even prefer 3D printed fidgets for some reason?
Edit: My intent was not to call anyone out, which is why I didn't name drop these shops. I'm just genuinely curious of the appeal of these printed fidgets that have exploded on the market in the last couple years. It isn't just fidgets, now I see printed toys being sold at gas stations, malls, etc. for relatively high prices.

Looking for a quality fidget toy
Hello all, first time poster, long time fidgeter
I used to have one of the original fidget cubes from the kickstarter years and years ago, but have since lost it and decided to buy a new one. Needless to say I was disappointed. Crappy plastic, half of the sides broken or almost broken out of the box, and no heft.
Now I have stumbled my way into this subreddit and my mind is blown, where do I start? I’m not looking to spend a fortune but I do want to replace this cheap plastic cube with something that actually curbs my craving to fidget and is satisfying to hold.
Brands, styles, any info you can give to guide my decision would be appreciated!!
Tapedrive and restocking fidgets question
Hey, somewhat of a new guy to fidgets. I kinda want to ask if its more commonplace for fidgets (the base thing, not special skins) to be restocked every once in a while or if most fidgets only appear in limited runs and then are never restocked.
Like in the instance of Tapedrive. Should i expect it to be restocked at some point (I want a TI at a non-marked up price) or bite the bullet knowing that its the last time i can get it?

Best bearing for spin stick that is quiet and spins for longest?
My EDC finally includes a fidget
I was never the kind of person who would bother to carry a fidget toy on me every day. As much as I like them at home, I'm someone who likes to carry as few things as possible. But when I got the Bean, I decided it wouldn't really be carrying anything else if I just clip it to my keys... So that's what I did. So now I have a little fidget on me no matter where I go 🙂
Do you guys carry a fidget every day? If so what's your daily carry?
Want to try fidgets but don't know where to start?
I obtained all of these early on to try different types of fidgets to see what worked for me. I figured that out and no longer need these. I think they are all, at least OK, if not pretty good. If you like any of them, there are better options available. They are all cheap or clone versions.
I will DM for info and ship it to the first person to comment that they want it. US only, sorry.
Maybe you can find what you like and pass on the rest for someone else to try.
✌
Edit to add: I finally figured out how to edit a post.. Sorry for any confusion. This was an all in one offer. Everything was already packed into that one USPS package that is pictured. The first commenter has been contacted and arrangements made. I'll be more clear if I clear out any more.
WM EDC 20th. Multi-stage action with alternating tones, this thing pushes itself
Finally got the WM EDC 20th in hand. Wanted to share some thoughts since
these have not exactly been easy to find lately.
The action is the main story. Multi-stage detents through the push with
alternating tones, low-high-low-high all the way across the stroke. Slow
push really lets you hear the cadence, faster push blurs into one
continuous note. Tuning your speed becomes half the fun. Detents snap
clean at every step.
Carry profile surprised me more than the sound honestly. Thin, light,
sits flat in the pocket. Forgot it was there twice today. In hand the
proportions just land right, fills the palm without bulk.
Going into the daily rotation immediately. Curious how the action holds up after a few months of carry.
Some people go to Disney…
I buy fidgets.

Paracord appreciation
I haven't bought much recently but I'm still fidgeting and improving my paracord skills. A good lanyard and bead really turn a D tier fidget into a B tier or higher. I prefer diamond knots over snake knots but I use a mix of both depending of the bead.
My collection keeps growing!
I love my lautie’s. Currently obsessed with the Lotto and Ti BL choc. I wish we had more tungsten items from them.
01EDC Gene Capsule - Fancy Pants!
Just arrived: the 01EDC Gene Capsule looks much fancier in person than I expected from the photos.
The blue and rose gold accents are polished and reflective, which really pop against the more muted sandblasted gray titanium. It’s one of the more unique sliders in my collection for a few reasons.
It’s multifunctional: slider, magnetic spinner, and what appears to be a button function on the back. The spinner doesn’t spin freely very easily since the magnets seem quite strong, but it creates a reverb I actually enjoy. I believe it can be modded to spin more freely, though I don’t know that for certain.
The most interesting part, and potentially a turnoff for some, is that it only slides up in one direction. That means it can’t be held the same way in both hands while sliding in the same direction. Personally, I think that adds variety, but I can see it bothering people who prefer symmetric play.
Overall, it feels nice, solid mid-size fidget. I included other fidgets for size comparison.
What do you guys do while using your fidget toys?
I recently found out about the world of fidget toys. I have adhd and CPTSD. I recently purchased an ONO roller and it’s been really helping me with focus, anxiety, stress, and keeping myself grounded.
I’m just curious as to what you guys use fidget toys for? I’ve seen people say they use it to read, meetings, to keep their hands occupied etc. I recently noticed that it’s been great for me when watching tv/movies. Prior to using my fidget I really struggled with sitting down and enjoying a movie without picking up my phone.
Please drop down how they fidget toys help you and what you use them for! I need ideas.
Hey guys! As you know, it’s been a while we don’t release a new spinner design, (or any spinner really) so I wanted this “UQH spinner comeback” to be kinda epic, and honestly … I think we won’t disappoint.
Say hello to the ‘Pavilion Gen 2’ (aka PG2)!
Now, I don’t wanna sound like I’m overhyping this, but I really feel like what we’ve created here is not only one of the best spinners from our entire lineup, but also one of the best I have ever experienced in my spinning journey, considering everything I’ve ever tried before.
It’s just a phenomenal spinner that checks all the boxes for my taste, beautiful and elegant, minimalist, comfortable, ergonomic, tactile and most importantly, spins like a dream.
Ok, so what makes it a “Gen 2”, and how it compares with the “Gen 1” ?
Back when I have designed the first Pavilion Gen 1, I was exploring this idea of a more “industrial” look, with sleek and well defined cuts, curves, edges and flat sides with horizontal grooves.
When designing the Pavilion Gen 2 I tried maintaining the PG1’s “soul”, or main aesthetic and profile signature, but re-imagined it as a more modernized and rounded up design. I’ve added some new tactile elements to it, like the unique diagonal micro grooves on its flat sides, a well defined “finger rest” round cut at its waist, wider but shallower concave cuts on its arms with these breathtaking deep and curved machine lines, that were done with precision to match up with the shape of the arms.
As for the buttons, we’ve kept the same amazing Plateau buttons design, but made them a bit thicker to adapt with the new design dimensions, and changed the screw system to grub screws.
I also thought that the PG2 really deserved some nice, wide and symmetrically placed “speed holes” to increase its gyro by reducing mass from the center, so we went with 10 of them (5+5), keeping a gap with no holes around its waist. (For reference, the PG1 never got speed holes).
The result is really a piece of metal art, pleasing just to look at and a spin that feels sublime. I am sure that the Pavilion Gen 2 is set to become a ‘must have’ in our community and one that will be beloved and enjoyed for years to come!
Right now we are releasing a small quantity in Titanium via Sign Up Sale on our Facebook Group, but I know most here don’t really do Facebook, so I just wanna say that we will also definitely have some Drops as well very soon, where they should be available in our Shop. I will share more infos here later on once we have a Drop for these.
If you guys have any questions just let me know.
Thank you once again r/FidgetSpinners for the opportunity and space, I appreciate you all!
