Hanging out in the dark at a streetcorner after a long workday. My casio was superb with its timer. Appreciate that function. I used it so many times today.

Summer. Very hot in europe right now. I love this Vaude messenger bag I found in a thriftstore for 20 euros.

I dont know what model it is. It is a Vaude bag. super lightweight and feels nice and soft and I love the lime green lining.

I fell in love with messenger bags again.

Messenger bag. No sweaty back.

Fits my laptop and A4 sized stuff. and has space for a hoody or groceries as well.

lightweight, but enough of padding and structure. i like that.

Organisation is a lightly padded laptop slot with velcro closure. 4 wide mesh pockets. two in main and two in the front pocket. very nice. and two horizontal slots for pens,. different sizes. Perfect.

it has a bottom pocket as well where I found a rain cover.

back pocket can double as luggage passthrough. it has a zipper at the bottom.

you can also make it sit tighter when bicycling. it comes with an extra strap for that.

The only two things I would add.. I always like inside mesh pockets on the sides, and a grab handle would be nice.

an excellent bag. very well designed.

Some thoughts about hell and heaven. I am drunk

i posted that as a comment in this sub, but I think might be a good post as well..

I had a real bad time back in 2020 to 2022 during covid,  met the shadow people and even stopped for a full year after that, because that was scary as fuck, like opening the doors to hell and some of hell came out.

Heck. Thinking about it .. The   whole concept of hell thousands of years ago.. might be derived from alcohol withdrawal  symptoms.  The shadows, the voices, the shakes  and panic and anxiety and addiction..

And then you have heaven.. angels singing and peace. Weed. Mushrooms.

Drinking again now and it is hard to control.  but I try my best to not get that wasted again or get hurt or die or get homeless and try to eat good and arrive to work and do my shit. I try to stay away from hard booze.

I tapered with beer. I started two days before the job.

Luckily weed is legal now where I live since two years. So my homegrown also helps. Good medicine vs the bad medicine.

It is 3PM now and I am drunk and about to buy some more beer.  but I just want to leave that here. Somebody might find that interesting.

All the best, take care and chairs.

I made a first full succesfull workday after tapering after a 2 week binge and depression hole.

I was so fucking wasted last 2 weeks.

Tapered down. I have to work.

I even arrived to work sober today with fresh clothes. and probably did not smell..

I guess I did a good job today. I think I performed well and taught a lot of good info to 20 students. fuck em if they object

Bought a ton of beer on the way home. Chairs

I feel like newborn.

My digital watch collection 75 to present

so these watches span 50 years.

Orient Time Computer from around 1976. This retailed for 400 bucks in the 70s. More than 3000 after inflation today. Got it in a thiftstore. keeps perfect time. super heavy and full stainless steel. original bracelet.

Skmei from last year. impressive for 10 bucks. And not a direct clone. it is a casio-timex.mashup and I like it. but as you can see, it is not as readable as the other oldies.

Casio W59. Had that as my first digital watch in 1989. 50m water resistant. took this everywhere in the 90s. replaced the strap when it broke and I could not fix it anymore. best watch ever.

Casio B640. shaped like an early 80s casio watch. My daily. it is even better than the w59. same 50m waterproof. has countdown and much better backlight and a metal strap. bestest watch ever.

Last is a real shitty fw91 clone I got for free. It instantly died when it saw water. but it came back to life. the beeps stopped working sometime after. it is the zombie watch.

Found this in a thriftstore today.

So I found this old Orient digital watch in a thriftstore today. And bought it on a whim because I thought it looked cool.

quite chunky and heavy at 105 grams. It is full stainless steel and has a big slab of glass and only a few scratches and is probably older than I am.

Backside (pic2) says: Orient Quartz. All stainless steel. DS4006 or OS4006 or maybe 0S4006. nothing about waterproofing.

It showed the absolutely correct time, so I bought it.

but I have no clue how to operate or set it, or if it has other functions than showing the time. but is has four buttons in total. so it must be able to do something else, right?

Does somebody know when this was made and is there documentation online how to use it? I cannot make sense of anything that happens when I press the buttons. And I had a casio since 1989.

any help is appreciated.

Bug or feature?

Bought these Salamander boots a while ago. I just noticed one of the yellow salamander inlays came off.

Now somebody will find a little rubber salamander somewhere.

Salamanders are cool. I saw a fire salamander once. Beautiful animals. but a rare sight.

u/k34444 wanted to see this 5 minute project.

DIY Pocket clip/dangler for my Vic Farmer.

Take an old teaspoon, bend the end (I used a vice, or just use some pliers), press or hammer flat (maybe put something inbetween so it wont get too tight), drill hole, cut with a metal saw, smooth out cut with some sandpaper.

I made this about 12 years ago.

(photo taken today super quick with a sheet of printer paper, wurkkos ts10 for light and a pixel 6a. no editing and first and only pic.)
