Kromentum Ultra Minis from Aroundsquare in the hizzouse!

Picked up some of the Bronze and Ebony during the last drop and they’re magnifique.

You’re my only hope. So I found these on my couch, but I have no idea what fidget they could have come with. Any of you avid collectors know what it might be for?

I’ve tried several times with various MKUltras and other materials to build a mała that I really liked. I think I finally dialed it in. It’s a bit on the heavy side, but looks great and the bead counting is top notch.

It’s a modified 10mm Milos Sandblasted Blue Ti MKUltra on 2mm black Kevlar with the Damascus guru bead. What do y’all think?

I’ve been obese for over 30 years. I’ve tried so many “diets” it’s not even funny. There were a lot of fad diets in the early 90s that my parents put me on. Since becoming an adult I’ve tried hcG, Atkins, keto, vegetarian diets, and at least half a dozen others. I always gave up because I hated what I had to eat. People talk about how hard it is restricting what you eat. I agree, it really is.

I’ve learned in the last two years that what you eat matters less than how much you eat. I see all kinds of garbage about “clean eating” (whatever the hell that means, I blame Panera) or only eating whole foods. That’s garbage. You can do those things and still not lose weight if you are not in a deficit. You can also eat whatever you like (within reason) and still lose weight, as long as you are in a deficit. I eat out, I eat fast food, I enjoy desserts. I just set myself a weekly calorie goal and cycle my intake to not exceed that and I lose weight. I do prioritize protein because I’m also building muscle, but the key is knowing what you’re putting in your body and how much of it.

The other saying is also true: most weight loss is in the kitchen, not the gym. I do strength training 2-3 times a week, max. I don’t spend more than an hour each session. I also walk 1.5-2.5 miles 3-5 times a week. But that’s it. I don’t kill myself. I don’t spend 3-4 hours a day.

You can’t do it if you don’t know how much you consume. And you can’t guess. I am fairly meticulous with my calorie tracking, but it is definitely harder when you eat out (can’t really break out the scale at Black Angus). But it can be done.

Also one side note: GLP-1s can help, but that’s it. They can’t do it for you. I actually got to my heaviest while on a GLP-1 (I’m diabetic). I’ve been on them for 7 years. I’ve lost the vast majority of my weight in the last 18 months. But only because I decided what was important and knuckled down. I’ve still got probably 30lbs until I’m happy, but I feel better than I have for decades.

First picture are various chętki I’ve made from some MKOctos, MKUltras, and other chętki parts and pieces, along with some basic rosary beads from Etsy and other stuff from Amazon. Second picture are my own “MKUltras” (not sure if I’m allowed to call them that still) made from various AO2 materials and beads from Amazon and Etsy.

Bought my first set of begleri from TGPBegleri way back during COVID in April of ‘21. I played around with them for a bit, but never really got into it, plus I kept busting my knuckles and annoying myself.

Fast forward five years later, and I discovered Aroundsquare in March of this year and got my first set from them (some copper hardcore Hercs) and got hooked. Sadly couldn’t find the OGs anywhere. This weekend I was going through boxes from my last house when we moved and found the Planets again! So cool.

Recently got the Juzhedc Pop Up 2.0 and it’s a lot of fun, but the final “snaps” both at the top and bottom of the travel are super loud. Anybody know how to dampen just those? I love everything else about it.

(I realize the video doesn’t show those snaps the clearest, not sure if my phone auto-dampened the final snaps.)

I’ve picked up quite a few begleri over the last several months and I feel like my game has kind of stalled out. I think it’s because I just keep cycling through sets. I see people talking about using the heavier sets to learn the fundamentals, but I’ve always liked the lighter ones. Decided to pick up my OG Titans (in Peacock) and commit to those until I improve my game significantly.

Picked up some Citrons from Paradigm when they dropped. They sling very nicely. Debating on going back and picking up a set of the shiny ones.

Got a package from TGPBegleri yesterday. I love his stuff.

Drove my kids to summer camp. Three hours up, three hours back. And I have to do it again in a week. There’s also a bracelet in there that was annoying me. Also a top… for some reason. Not like I can use it while driving. 😂

Got a legit AO2 Pozvonok and it came with an extra silk cord so I took the opportunity to redo my Pozvonanok with some additional bling. It looks and slings so much better now.

I’m one of those people who almost always has to have two copies of a sticker before using it, because what if I make the wrong decision? 😂

But I got this with my AO2[.]io order yesterday and knew I had to use it immediately. I start my PhD on Monday and will be using my SuperNote every day, so I figured what better way to take the spirit of the IC with me.

Picked up some cool Ti barrel beads and made a couple new Begleri. Also trying out some different silk cordage. Not sure I’m sold on it just yet, but it looks kinda neat.

Well, new to me. These Damascus steel beads are pretty sweet, if a bit heavy. Strung of course on my favorite AO2 silks.
