Hi I’m new to Reddit and this group and I’m loving all the amazing things I’m seeing both the worry beads and the skills, I was wandering what you guys think of classic bead materials? I ask because I see lots of metal beads like brass and titanium, I do also love the heavy satisfying feel of brass and the light nimble titanium feel but imo as a collector of all types of beads nothing beats the feeling of faturan, sudurus, amber, horn, ext, I get that they are more pricey but at the same time you can buy some decent faturan beads for the same price bracket as a set of around square beads(I do also really love the around square design and feel though) but faturan or Bakelite style beads are so warm and satisfying nice to use nothing really comes close, I’d love to hear your thoughts on this guys and I’ve attached a pic of a few of my nicer classic worry beads.

Heyo, everyone! I just found out about this community and the history of Begleri! I was very excited, and immediately made these at work from some solid brass guitar strap buttons!

I learned of Aroundsquare through here, and I'm going to get a set for sure, especially as I'm in Canada!

But in the meantime, I really love tinkering and making things, so I plan to make some more tomorrow! Any tips on DIY Begleri, and also any advice period would be great!

I am liking the shape of these, reminding me of Lathedback quantum colliders. Just that I wish these become available in stainless steel for a little bit of more weight. Anyway, ~8g per bead.

Edit: brass weighs slightly more than SS. Please disregard my idiotic wish for having them available in SS for more weight.

This is a short walk from where I stay, I like to sit here and drink coffee but this morning I got this clip.

I added some vertebrates, now it bounces back instead of wrapping. Very satisfying.

New Begleri arrived today from YoYoSam. I picked up some AO2 Poco Locos, Everyman Sport (sunset), and Everyman Hardcore (nightfall).

Looking to move a few sets that I don't use. Titanium mini titans, copper everymans, and some old generic titanium from around 6 years ago.

Basically, I love trying new weird and wonderful things at home, but when I’m walking I have this basic technique so I can feel the strings around my finger but I’m generally, except for finger changes, always in control of one side of the Begleri so I don’t drop it.

Started with the titans in aluminum but quickly realized they were far too large for my hands. Started collecting some alternatives via the discord marketplace and splurged on the mini greys new! This hobby is really healing for me beyond just being fun. I’ve got a micro kbone comjng too (I got a clone on Ali express for the regular one but toooo big for me).

Got bit by the begleri bug back in March and now it feels like I’m collecting Pokémon, gotta catch ‘em all! I started off making my own, but after getting my first legit set from AO2 (the hercs) I’m just going to let the pros do what they do best and I’ll just collect them. 🙂

Super happy with how these look, just gotta get good at using them now 😼 used 275 to make the cord in the middle + diamond knots at the end, and used gutted 550 for the wrapping of the M10 hexnuts.
