Wondering what the best materials are to use for stencil work either while sponging or submerging…

this was a prototype of a baked titanium Damascus that I tried using a vinyl stencil I got from Amazon.

I had a lot of trouble with the edges and uneven surfaces, delaminating, and coming undone. Especially when I tried to submerge it…

What can be stencil cut and also holds while underwater?
Is there ones I can find online?

Thought I’d try one… .56cal lead ball cores.
where do I learn to be a badass with it?

So I’ve been getting really good with Paco and I’ve made several monkey fists and finally made a begleri.
I didn’t have any good spherical objects laying around handy so I balled up a piece of printer paper for my core… the weight is all wrong, I mean, it’s all right but…
What do you guys like to use as a core for different sized monkey fists?

Just got my new plate in! Just curious as to how many of you have used one of these anodizing plates for hardware? if there’s any insight or feedback that would be helpful, or save me some trial and error it would be hugely appreciated. I’m assuming I just screw all my hardware into it and proceed as usual?

So my wife seems to think I have a knife problem. I look at it as more of a solution to my unending, wanting of new knives. I like it and NEED it. I want it until I buy it. Problem solved. I guess my drug of choice is bugout, but there are many other guilty pleasures!

All models shown are either bench made bugouts or mini bugouts. A few are from the custom shop, but the majority of them are modified by myself. I’m not sure what order the pictures are going to come up in, but if you want some details on any of the modifications or whatever just shoot me a comment.

Just sent my Grizzly Ridge in for service. As it’s been discontinued, they gave me a voucher for a new knife. Decided to replace it with the Grizzly Creek. Love it so far.
I always thought the other was a wonderful gut/skinning Knife. The rubber handles made it basically slip proof in a wet environment. I’ve probably cleaned and skinned close to 100 deer with it over the past 10 years or so, and finally it just wore out. I always said they should have added a gut hook, so the folding addition is much appreciated.
I did like the rubber scales because they solidified the grip, but the wood is sexy looking and will hold up well over time, as the rubber scales did not. . .
Looking forward to christening this one in about a month. Feels like it’s gonna be an epic bone collector.

Just rescaled & lanyarded this guy per a customer’s requests. Benchmade Taggedout with AWT textured Cobalt anodized aluminum scales and a “Mahi Mahi” Lanyard with bonefisher bead. Thoughts?

I’m sure the first questions are… Why would you get Grivory on that Bailout if you’re gonna get DamaMonarch blade?
I’ll update when it’s fully finished, but we are gonna celebrate titanium on this build!

Thoughts?

That these guys last night for a customer who wanted a blue titanium bugout. Turned out better than I thought it was going to. What do you guys think?

Just curious on everybody else’s feedback? If you don’t use a lanyard that’s OK too, but if you do… Long or SHORT? Favorite grab knots? Folding types vs fixed? Bead or no bead, Bead top or bottom, multicolor? Micro-cord? Trimmed and melted or long & frayed, etc.

If you have a reason for why I would love to hear that as well.

I tie a lot of lanyards for different customers and honestly just want to hear what the people’s thoughts are.
