Paracord Upgrades

I have been enjoying both of these and am slowly making progress on accuracy and consistency. I wanted to try an upgrade. I added the orange lanyard and then the monkey fists are made around stacks of round magnets from Harbor Freight. The orange one holds BBs no problem and the green one works well with 3/8” steel shot. The Altoids tin has two bar magnets in it to keep the BBs from falling out and has the bonus or reduced rattling while it’s in my pocket.

Practice into practicality

So I’m getting back into camping and was trying to recall my knots. I tied this taut line hitch on a piece of scrap and thought it might actually be useful as a cable tie, so I finished the ends. I’ll probably start making more of these when I have scraps too short for anything else.

The beads arrived, so I just started making something without any real plan

I kind of made it without thinking too much,
so I feel like the color placement and overall balance turned out a bit off.
I think I need to plan it out a little better and try making it again.

Cutters Handle Re-Wrap

My cutters were becoming some sort of hideous biohazard so I treated them to a new outfit.

How would one recreate this?

as the title says, i want to recreate the omega sailing bracelet, the clasp isnt important but im wondering if the rope is gutted paracord or not and what the pattern is

So I decided to try getting in shape.as a result I had a reason to make a jump rope.

Made from 2 folded lengths, box\crown stack handles (to be king cobra wrapped for ergo\aesthetics later) folding into a 4 strand round braid. Not the best, but a lot cheaper than an off the shelf jump rope. I'm only using it for the back garden, it ain't a fashion show

Making paracord flowers w/o tutorials - This one was brutal 🫩

My current fixation is making a variety of paracord flowers. I've made some of the most common tutorial heavy flowers, but started mixing up different knots to DIY some that I hope look better/decent... went with spotty orange thinking of tiger lilies (which I did *not* model this after) and because it was in my bag when started this thing.

[Pardon the photos, don't have better lighting and this thing is jiggly]

The leaves and petals are simple "leaf knots." The petals have copper wire (poorly) shoved into them and fused into a diamond knot center. Below that is a small ring of paracord, with another layer of paracord wrapped around and through the leaves (coreless) to allow them to stay flat. That was fused to the flower (to hide the brutally mangled and burned underside of the flower and top of the leaves, lol). Finally, a small, cored diamond knot to lock in the base of the flower.

This took entirely too long and I have ideas on how to make it a little faster amd better, but ... I have other ideas to tackle first, so we'll see!

Hi, friends!
Please take a look at my work—I'm not sure which color to choose.
