I usually carry a length of paracord on me in case I need, it of 6 metres. I read somewhere that it might be more useful to carry multiple lengths as that becomes more versatile, say 4 metres, 1.5 metres and 0.5 metres. The small length being for soft-shackles etc. The 3 lengths would be joined together with a suitable knot so that they can be easily taken apart. Does anyone have any thoughts or experience with different configurations of paracord length?

There are numerous ways to attach paracord to a drink bottle but can you carry the drink bottle without having to use your hands? I go on long walks and sometimes carry a small drink bottle but I'd like to go hands-free. I can tie 2 loops a small distance apart to capture the bottle but can't progress beyond that. I accept that there would be some movement of the bottle as you walk but if kept to a minimum this would work for me. The attachment points could be upper arm for a small plastic bottle or a backpack type carry where the bottle sits on my back.

Are there any ear training apps where you can select a number of chords and have it play back in a randomised order? I haven't been able to find one so would consider any other approaches. I'd like to have a suite of chords including secondary dominants and have them playback in a random order to really test my ear.

My Dyson doesn't have a trigger lock, you can buy aftermarket accessories but in a pinch what would be your choice of knot to hold down the trigger. There would be plenty of choices I'm sure but I'd like to be able to quickly release the knot and quickly tighten again as I carry it around the house etc.

How do you go about playing a song, specifically the chord progression when someone asks you to play a song and then just hums a few bars. It's not much to go by but some people can fashion something representational of the song. What skill set/framework do you need in order to do this consistently?
